9:00 am: Start your day with a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial Center. This is a
somber but essential stop for anyone traveling in Rwanda. The exhibits here are emotional,
informative, and moving. They tell the story of the 1994 genocide in Rwanda when Hutu
extremists killed almost a million people, mostly Tutsis. The memorial center is a place to
remember and honor those who lost their lives, and to learn more about the history and
culture of the country.

11:00 am: After your visit to the memorial, head to the Imbuga City Walk ground, a car-
free zone in Kigali’s central business district that was transformed into ‘a recreational and
green space’. The area is characterized by pedestrian and cycling-friendly pavements, green
corridor landscaping, kiosks for food and other items, an exhibition space, and a playground.
Several support facilities such as street benches, free WiFi, a city lounge, an arcade,
pedestrian-friendly street lamps, and public lavatories. Then an array of shops selling
handcrafts and made in Rwanda products including African fabrics, jewelry, and crafts. You
can haggle with the vendors and pick up some great souvenirs of your trip.

12:30 pm: Lunch time at one food kiosks or a nearby Restaurant.

14:00 pm: Drive to Fazenda Segha, an outdoor entertainment complex that offers activities
such as horseback riding, zip-lining, archery, quad biking, bungee trampoline, pétanque, and
more. Fazenda Sengha, is barely 15 minutes from Kigali's city center.

17:00 pm: End your day with a visit to the Kigali Heights shopping mall. This modern
shopping center has a range of stores, including international brands like Zara and Mango.
You can also catch a movie at the cinema or have a drink at one of the many restaurants
and coffee in the mall.
