Diomede. Then write similar descriptions of the two voyages outlined
below. Use the apprioriate prepositions and the definite article (the)
where necessary:

On 6 April, 1979 the general cargo vessel, the MV Diomede, left the
port of New Orleans in the USA for Hawaii in the Hawaiian Islands.
She steamed across the Gulf of Mexico, through the Yucatan Channel
and along the north coast of Jamaica, calling at Kingston. Then she
sailed through Panama Canal and across the Pacific Ocean to Hawaii

the port of Southampton in the UK for Naples in the Italy. She
steamed across the English Channel, through the Bay of
Biscay and along West coast of Portugal, calling at Lisbon. The
