This includes parameters, programs, tool data, etc. : For various reasons, these memory systems can become disoriertied. This condition can be manifested in many ways such as: ~ GRT Alarm messages: Partly, Watct-Dog. Etc. ~ Patty LED'S on the control POE'S, - Garbage instead of valid data in Parameters. ‘You shoud be able to recover using the folowing proceduren. PROCEDURE TO INTIALIZE A 72/3 CONTROL, First, betore doing ANYTHING, it your control is C/D/EJF-VEASION, you mest have a microdisk. I the ‘customer doesn't have one, obtain it rom your regional serves otfice. 1) Check and compare the parameters in the control to the parameter lst supplied with the machine. you cannot find one, wrt thom down on paper. Be sure to check the “hidden parameters”. ‘Thote are the parameter: you'l see once you de the following, a) Press "PARAM". ) Press the yetlow Menu key third trom right under CRT. ©) Type in 1131 & pross “INPUT. ) Now page thr the parameters. PART 1 — INITIALIZING MEMORY ] “The following wit undoubtaly scramble the momory area butis a necessary step in order to rina ‘x9 memory. FOR CONTROLS WITH B3 VERSION AND EARLIER, 41) Flemovo the FX7Z7 board from the control. 2) Disconnect the battory from the crcult by removing the jumpers of X1 positions 3 & 4 and putting om5&6. 9) With x1 jumpers at 5 & 6 place a resistor(appx. 100 alum) across the capacitor (0100) loads. ‘This capacitor koopss ‘memory contents for 3 mewtes i Damery is disconnected. Monitor tha VOR ago while discharging he capacitor and when it maches approximately zero wots, remove the resistor. 4) Replace jumpers 5 8 6 to positions 3 & 4. 5) ttupon power up, the contro ratuses to allew you to change parameters, then do the following: a) Go to diagnostic mode. ) Bring curser down to WH addrees. ©) Type in 108706 & pross INPUT. 4) Bring cursar over to hox data of WH1CB706, 9) Change to valve on paramoter shoot. Wat 5 coconde and pewor off. Wait another 5 seconds and power back on. 7) Power of control. 8) Reset DIP-SWITCH 310 ON. PART 2 — RESET PARITY 1) Tum off CNC power. 2) Remove PCD holding brackets. 3) Pull FX701 forward an inch or two. 4) Tum DIP-SWITCH 2 oft 5) Rerincen PCB, '6) Tum the CNC power on and obsorve if PARITY LED romaine OFF. Tt 38 on, repeat power off/on until itis extinguished. Pioase allow 5 SECONDS in betwoon off & on. 7) With power of, sat DIP-SWITCH 2 to oft PART 3-——~ RELOADING PARAMETERS. zy the paramoters are stored on cassette oF disc, reload paramaters into memory. f you don't havo ‘See, reload the dota manually. Again, make sure that all parameters have been inserted, even the So-called "hidden" paramators. Hyyou have a T2 control you cannot gat to some Ta paramators to reset. FOR C/O/E/-VERSION AN ADDTTIONAL STEP IS NECESSARY: IF THE PARAMETERS WERE LOADED IN BY HAND: 1) THEY MUST BE SAVED ONTO A MICRO-DISK. 2) POWER OFF CONTROL. 3) POWER ON CONTROL 4) RELOAD PARAMETERS BACK INTO CONTROL FROM MICRO-DISK, Page #3 of fu 27 2003 @8:56 12048324268 PAGE.24 PART 4-— USING ALL ERASE TO CLEAR Now that the ram memory has beon cleared with part 1,partialy formatiod with part 2, you must use. ‘tho "ALL ERASE" to wipo out the funny numbers and so.on, To Do This: 1) Solect the PROGRAM FILE page. Press “ALL ERASE", type -9999 & prose “INPUT 2) Setect the TOOL DATA page. Proce “ALL ERASE®, type -9999 & pross “INPUT” 9) Sotoct the TOOL OFFSET page. ross "ALL ERASE™, typo -9999 & pross “INPUT” 1 Tooting information wasn't stored on the micro-6iek, thon 4) Select the TOOL SET page. Move the cursor down to each valve and enter “O° and pross INPUT. PART 5 —~~ RESETTING DISPLAY 1) Select COMMAND pago. 2) Move curser down to the AXIS POSTTIONS and reget 1 zero. 3) Move curser down to the COUNTER & reset to*0° 4) Do the samo with “TAILSTOGK™,"Z-OFFSET","C-OFFSET, and theTIME COUNTERS. PART 6 —_— LOAD REST OF DATA 1) Load in the TOOL DATA, C-COND, AND CHUCK DATA. Also, any Part Programs that were saved.
