TMEIC GE Introduces New TM-DC Family of System Drives

Featuring the Control System Toolbox for Configuration and Monitoring

Salem, Va. (May 5 2005) -- TMEIC GE is proud to announce the next generation of DC drives, the
TMdrive®-DC (TM-DC)! This new family of DC drives incorporates leading drive technology from
each of our parent companies (GE, Toshiba, and Mitsubishi) and can be easily integrated into any of
our existing DC systems. These exciting new products can be immediately applied in new and retrofit
applications. Key features of the TM-DC products include:
 Control System Toolbox for configuration and monitoring of all the TMdrive products
 Optional Graphic Keypad with four variable bar graphs, full access to parameters and
variables and drive control functions
 Integrated Motor/Load Simulator that allows life-like process simulation in factory test,
providing valuable factory training for the local commissioning and customer teams
 Several LAN interface modules including ISBus, Profi-bus-DP, DeviceNet, TOSLINE-S20, and
MELPLAC
 Seamless Integration with legacy systems. In designing the TM family of drives, emphasis
was placed on providing a smooth migration path for our legacy systems. This focus drove
significant LAN interface and configuration tool development addressing the installed base of
all three parent companies. To update your DC drive technology, TMEIC GE can replace the
existing control module with a TM-DC control module or replace the entire drive.
