Good evening, today I would like to tell u sth abt myself. My name is My Linh Ho, but
most people call me Linh Ho. My name is important to me. In my opinion, names can
make a strong first impression on people. Well, I’m originally from Kien Giang
Province, located in the Mekong Delta though I have lived in Ho Chi Minh city since
2021 to go to university. To be honest, I’m a Junior at Ho Chi Minh university of
Banking.

(education system) Well, first of all, my initial point would be that, in the past two
decades, the education system of my country has been reformed several times.
Especially, primary education is free from the age of six. I shouldn’t forget to
mention that the education system is comprised of 5 years of primary, 4 years of
lower high school and 3 years of high school. To be more accurate, student evaluated
in Viet Nam is mostly based on written exams. Of course, there are other criteria which
are usually considered by teachers as well, such as oral exam and class participation.
On the other hand, in addition to the public system, my country has private system of
higher education. Like more specifically, unlike public schools that are funded by the
government, private schools rely on tuition fees, scholarship and donations.

(university life) By the way, a second feature which I should mention is that, my
university is one of the public schools in Viet Nam. As the name suggest, this is one of
the universities with good training in Banking and Finance major. I could say that this
is a competitive major. In fact, I’m not the kind of person who looks back w/ regret. I
prefer to invest my energy looking forward. What I mean to say is that If I could start
again, I wouldn’t change my major. Of course I think I’d have to admit that this
university is not my initial choice, but after a long period of study, I believe this is a
right decision. This is mainly because I enjoyed many things abt my university. To be
more exact, while I study at my university, I have met some wonderful people, we all
worked together very well and I’m really enjoying myself.

(personality) As well as this, i work well w/ people who are understanding and
helpful.This is might be because I’m a dedicated worker and a people person, in fact I
enjoy working as a team and in public relations. I find that the best decisions are made
w/ those who work for themselve and the group.To be more specific, I would consider
myself as a good team player. Honestly, I’ve had opportunities in both academic and
athletic fields and I’ve experienced the value of working in teams. More precisely
like, my friends would describe me as someone who is hard-working and eager to
learn. I could say that helping people is my passion and I enjoy problem solving and
challenging work. To be more exact, when I need to solve a problem, I brainstorm and
then I decide how to deal w/ the problem from there. On the other hand, if I could
use 3 words to describe more abt my personality, I would say “understanding,
responsibility and humble”. To be more precise, I believe I respond very well to
criticism. Especially if it’s constructive. The important thing I shouldn’t forget to
mention is that I admire people who are dependable and hard-working, this is due to
the fact that I believe in my motto, this is “actions speak louder than words”.

(university life) I guess I could also remark on the fact that going to university is
not just abt studying hard and getting a degree, it’s also abt developing and maturing as
a person and taking advantage of a vast number of opportunities. Like, to be more
direct, I have the opportunity to attend different informative classes to expand my
horizons. To add to this, my university experiences help me develop helpful skills,
such as use Microsoft Office, trouble shoot problems and use a computer. If u ask me
abt my special skills that would help me do my job, I would say that I could type 120
words a minute and speak E. I also learn abt organizational skills.

(method) By the way, I can add that the most important thing is I have found the
method of learning works best for me. Well, in all fairness, I think I would have to
say that I have well – established study habits. You know like, to be exact, I almost
always start promptly at seven in the evening. I study for two hours, then have a ten
minute break, then I study for another two hours. Personally, I don’t think cramming
the night before the exam can ever help.

(strength) In addition to this, if u ask me abt my greatest strength, I would have

to say that I’m a disciplined person, in fact I follow this approach during the
weekdays. Also, I suppose I should say that I spend my free time reading E
newspapers, listening to E news and watching videos of native E speaker to learn more
natural E. In my opinion, I believe this is a great way to improve my E. I suppose the
reason has sth to do w/ the fact that E is known as an international language and
considered as a necessary requirement for educational and employment opportunities.
Specifically, another reason is that if possible, I would love to continue my education
in an E speaking country. Then, I would like to upgrade my qualifications by getting a
master’s degree.

(ideal job)This could be because my ideal job would be working as a professor at

university. Well, I have a solid plan for my career. Particularly, I am looking for
additional responsibility and more room for growh. In fact I will do anything to further
my career.. Maybe I’m too ambitious.

(volunteer, strength, weekness at work, co-worker, boss)On top of that I would like
to tell umore abt my previous volunteer work to gain more experiences to help me
reach my goal, like what I”ve just said that I hope to become a professor. To be more
specific, I used to belong to a non-profit organization which provides long-term
education for rescued children from human trafficking. Well in truth, i really quite
enthusiastic abt this work because helping people gives me a sense of self -worth. I
would say my manager is very levelheaded, well rounded and inspiring. To be honest,
she was one of the most dependable person that I’ve ever met. She describe me as a
person have a strong ability to teaching especially children. By the way, I’m so proud
to share that my co-worker praise me for my friendly personalityto what I”ve just
said, I can add that, to describe my ideal job, I would have to say that I would like to
work stable hours without having to travel too much.In addition to this , I’d like
regular daytime hours on weekdays and I prefer to have the weekends off. Well, over
the weekends, I am quite partial to outdoor activities especially things like swimming
w/ my friends. I could say that swimming is my favorite activities. I guess this is
probably because I believe health is God’s gift and I go for medical check-ups once
every six months and follow a healthy diet to keep up w/ my health. To be more
accurate, to keep a balance between physical health and mental health, I suggest
swimming and go walking two times a week. Honestly, I have to admit that I’m not
much a fan of football because of my potential health problems. Well, sth else that I
need to comment on is that, I’m under a lot of pressure so I really need to relieve stress
by spend time doing my favorite activities that could let my hair down after a busy
week and help me maintain asense of humor. Also, I suppose I should say that family
problems and excessive expectations typically stress me out. That’s why I need to have
the weekends off to spend time for myself to overcome stress.
