Aspects learnt from today’s seminar which may help with planning your essay (group discussion)…
Intro, middle and conclusion (conclusion is IMPORTANT).
Question or statement to focus (make it catchy). Methodology (how will I do this?) Definitions can help throughout the piece. Multiple sources for your definitions and quotes. Explore different areas and provide multiple examples to test your question or statement. Look for trends in your research results. Standardise your list of headings for each case study. Extra word count can be absorbed into conclusion or history. Positives and negatives (support these with quotes if possible). One Wikipedia entry only! (can be used as a springboard to multiple sources). Use different sources for each quote if possible. Segue into new sections can be good. Make sure the statement is MEASURABLE. Make sure the conclusion answers the question. Preparation and evidence of your areas of interest and proper planning will ensure you have met criteria.
