Note: For installing any SAS® Insurance Intelligence Solutions, it is recommended that the
name of the SAS® Application Server Context be set to SASMAIN. This document assumes that
The procedure to install Insurance DDS on Windows is as follows:
the name given to the Application Server Context is SASMAIN.
1. Extract the iis3.2b1.0_dds_install.zip file to the Data folder in the SASMAIN
folder, which exists under the SAS Installation folder. The files are extracted to a folder
called iisdata, as shown in the following image.

If the folder named Data does not exist under SASMAIN, create one before performing the
unzip operation.

Note: The file could be unzipped

another location;
Structure forhowever, theDDS
Insurance benefit of having the
folders under SASMAIN is that relative paths can be provided for library references in Data
Integration Studio and in the autoexec.sas file.

Note: If the iis3.2b1.0_dds_install.zip file is unzipped under SASMAIN/Data,

please skip this step.

Configure the autoexec.sas File

The delivery package includes the autoexec.sas file under the Data/iisdata folder. All
the paths specified in the autoexec.sas file are relative to the server context (SASMAIN).

Installation Guide for

If the location of the folders is other than SASMAIN/Data, replace all relative paths with absolute
paths as shown in the example below:

Relative path:
/*Libref pointing to the folder where DDS datasets are located*/
Libname DDS "Data/iisdata/dds";

Absolute path (example only):

/*Libref pointing to the folder where DDS datasets are located*/
Libname DDS "C:\SAS\IISSERVER\Lev1\SASMAIN\Data\iisdata\dds";

Configure the Workspace Server

Some changes are required to be made to the Workspace Server options to make it work
in the Insurance DDS environment. This is done through the SAS Management Console
(SMC). The procedure is as given below:

1. Open SMC. Create a new profile by specifying an appropriate name, say Insurance DDS
and providing necessary connection information (Machine, Port, User ID, and Password).
2. In SMC, expand Server Manager € SASMAIN € SASMain - Logical
Workspace Server € SASMain - Workspace Server, as shown below.
