 EXTRACT OF LIBRARY RULES & REGULATIONS

Library Hours:
Library opens 05 days a week according to the following schedule:
Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Friday (Juma Prayer Break) 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Books will not be issued after 3:30 p.m.
All other activities shall remain functional until closing.

Borrowing Privileges:
Students can borrow 04 books for 28 days from “Library” and 5 books from “Book Bank” for
whole semester (112 days).
Some materials, such as Project Reports, Press Clippings, CDs, Current Periodicals, Newspapers,
Dictionaries etc. or any other Publications/Books marked as reference / reserved will not be
circulated / issued.

Fine Policy:
i). Overdue Books will be charged Rs. 01 per book per day after 28 days.
ii). Books issued for Overnight or issued for limited time can be fined Rs. 05 to 100 per
book per day after due date.
iii). Lost / Damage Library Material (Books etc.)
In case of loss or damage, a sum of two-times cost of the current price along with
overdue fine (if applicable) will be charged.
iv). Theft
The willful damage or theft of Library Materials will result in an automatic referral to
The University Administration and may lead to suspension from University.

Disciplinary Fine:
Rs. 500 on first time violation (Mobile Phone Ringing and Loudly Discussion etc.),
Rs. 1000 on second time violation. If a patron continues the violation, his / her
“Library Membership” will be cancelled immediately and the case will be referred to
The Campus Coordinator.

General Rules:
a). Use of Mobiles:
Every kind of use of mobiles (such as attend calls, make calls, play games, reading or
writing msgs. etc.) in Library is strictly prohibited.
Mobiles must be on silent mode in Library.
b). Drinks and Eatables:
Drinks and eatables are not allowed in Library.
c). Group Discussion:
Group discussion is not allowed in Library.
d). Personal Belongings:
Leave your personal belongings such as handbags, briefcases at the Library Entrance.
e). Library Staff will not be responsible for any loss such as laptop, mobiles, wallets,
purse etc. within library or outside library.
Important:
1). The University reserves the right to modify or cancel, without any prior notice, any
statement or service in the rules and regulations.
