WHISPERS OF DEPARTURE

EXT. OUTSIDE HOUSE - DAY

Lily, a 16 year old girl who has short hair and is wearing
baggy jeans with a hoodie, dressed in a colourful outfit is
found to be sat outside the house on the doorstep, her
expression is sad and we don't know what's up with her. The
door suddenly opens as we see a shot of legs walk out wearing
baggy jeans, Lily glancing up at the figure who is Liam, the
other main character. Their faces are full of sadness yet
determination to make the most of their last day together.

Without another word spoken, Liam reaches out his hand as

Lily is helped up, they step out of shot to go enjoy the rest
of the day.

PULL BACK SLOWLY SUBTLY, WHEN THEY WALK OUT MOVIE TITLE
APPEARS, FADE TO BLACK

EXT. PARK - DAY

The two are walking through fields together, holding hands

with a subtle smile on their face.

CLOSE UP OF GRASS, WALKING SHOT BEHIND THEM.

We are able to see Liam in shot now as he is wearing a baggy

wooly jumper with a pair of jeans, he has curly hair and
glasses. They end up walking to a park as they sit down on an
empty bench.

SHOT BEHIND THE BENCH, IN FRONT OF THE BENCH, WIDE SHOT.

The park is quiet as it lets them reflect and recall all of

their memories together of how they used to play and mess
around in the past.

FLASHBACK OF MEMORIES PLAY BY SUBTLE OVERLAY OF SHOT.

Lily and Liam turn towards each other, giving both a smile as
they look back towards the park where they intake the rest of
the nostalgic memories together.

FINAL SHOT IS TAKEN BEHIND THEM.

EXT. LAKE - AFTERNOON

Lily and Liam now currently arrive at the lake/riverside, as

they considered it to be their favourite spot to go when they
would spend time together on dates and such.

WIDE SHOT TO SET THE SCENE WITH THE LAKE.

They set up a small picnic, treating themselves to some

snacks and talking to one another, almost believing that this
is just another usual date and not their final day together.

MID SHOTS OF BODY SETTING UP BLANKET AND SITTING DOWN.

They both link hands while they take in the scenery that
surrounds them, and finish their small picnic together.

EXTREME CLOSE UP OF HANDS, CLOSE UP OF OTHERS FACES, MID

SHOT.

The scene ends as they two are sat together on the blanket
enjoying their food.

CAMERA SLOWLY PANS AWAY TO THE LEFT.

EXT. ROOFTOP - DUSK

Dusk slowly creeps in and the day is starting to come to an

end. Lily and Liam are sat atop a rooftop as they watch the
sunset together, taking in the beautiful view by the warm
colours created from the sun.

SHOT OF THE SUNSET, SHOT BEHIND THE SHOULDER, WIDE SHOT OF

THE TWO, SIDE SHOT.

They both share a cigarette between them with each other to

ease their emotions, while Lily takes out her phone and snaps
a picture of them together, considering it as one last photo.

CLOSE UP OF LIAM'S POCKET, EXTREME CLOSE UP OF LIAM'S HAND,

CLOSE UP OF LILY'S FACE.

Nights approaches, the temperature starts to grow chilly and

it gets more quiet. Liam reaches an arm round Lily as he
pulls her close, admiring the rest of the sunset together.

WIDE SHOT OF THE TWO SAT TOGETHER, WIDE SHOT TAKEN FROM THE
INSIDE, FINAL SHOT OF SUNSET.

EXT. OUTSIDE HOUSE ROAD - NIGHT

Finally, the two are back outside the house as Liam is moving
boxes into his car from inside the house, as he is taking the
final box to his car he glances back towards the house,
almost hesitant to put the box in the trunk, yet ends up

doing it anyway.

WIDE SHOT OF THE CAR AND LIAM, SHOT OF THE CAMERA IN THE
TRUNK FACING LIAM IN POV OF A BOX, SHOT BEHIND LIAM CLOSING
THE TRUNK.

Liam approaches Lily as they both tear up, pulling each other
in for one last final hug, embracing each others warmth and
company. They give each other a moment as Liam pulls away
from the hug, giving Lily a letter. He steps over towards his
car as we see him pause, not wanting to get in.

WIDE SHOT OF THE TWO, BOTH TAKEN FROM EACH SIDE HUGGING, BACK
TO WIDE SHOT, EXTREME CLOSE UP OF ENVELOPE, WIDE SHOT OF LIAM
WALKING BACK OVER.

Lily unwraps the envelope she was given, carefully taking the
letter out and reading it. Her eyes widen as the scene fades
to shots and videos of the couples memories on screen, a
short montage playing throughout.

EXTREME CLOSE UP OF LILY OPENING THE ENVELOPE, SHOT FROM

BEHIND THE LETTER TO NOTE HER FACIAL EXPRESSION.

As the montage comes to an end, Lily closes the letter,

keeping it close to her and protecting it as she also gives
Liam a wave goodbye, while he returns the wave. Liam gets in
the car as the engine starts. The scene ends as Liam drives
away into the distance, whereas Lily steps back towards the
house, the two finally going their separate ways.

MID SHOT OF LILY HOLDING THE LETTER, EXTREME CLOSE UP OF HER

HAND, BACK TO A CUT OF A MID SHOT OF HER. MID SHOT OF LIAM,
CUTS TO CLOSE UP OF THE CAR WATCHING THE DOOR SHUT.

FINAL SHOT IS PLAYED WITH THE CAMERA CLOSE TO THE GROUND, THE
CAR DRIVING OFF AS WE SEE LILY STEP AWAY BACK TOWARDS HER
HOUSE, THE SCENE BLURS AS A QUOTE APPEARS ON SCREEN, END
CREDITS ROLLING.
