Vocabulary

1. Ugliness: the quality of being unpleasant to look at, or not attractive.


Sentence: The snake is the most ugliness animal of the jungle.

2. Whatever: it is not important what is; it makes no difference what (is):


Sentence: We'll go whatever the weather.

3. Sneaking: If you have a sneaking feeling about someone or something, you have that feeling,
although you are not certain it is correct.
Sentence: I have a sneaking feeling that he's jealous.

4. Pockets: a small bag for carrying things in, made of cloth and sewn into the inside or onto the
outside of a piece of clothing.
Sentence: I love to have pockets in my pants and jackets.

5. Fear: an unpleasant emotion or thought that you have when you are frightened or worried by
something dangerous, painful, or bad that is happening or might happen.
Sentence: I have a fear of sharks.

6. Crack: to break something so that it does not separate, but very thin lines appear on its
surface, or to become broken in this way.
Sentence: I cracked my tooth as I ate a sweet.

7. Knock: to repeatedly hit something, producing a noise.


Sentence: Please knock before entering.

8. Traveller: someone who travels.


Sentence: She is a seasoned traveller.

9. Hopefully: used, often at the start of a sentence, to express what you would like to happen.
Sentence: She smiled at me hopefully.

10. Friendship: a situation in which two people are Friends.


Sentence: I value her friendship above anything else.

11. Loud: making a lot of noise.


Sentence: I heard a loud bang and then saw black smoke.

12. Snap: to cause something that is thin to break suddenly and quickly with a cracking sound.
Sentence: The branch snapped and fell to the ground.

13. Against: disagreeing with a plan or activity.


Sentence: She spoke against the decision to close the factory.

14. Bit: a small piece or amount of something.


Sentence: I tried to do a bit of exercise every day.

15. Madness: stupid or dangerous behaviour.


Sentence: Anger is a form of madness.

16. Wreck: to destroy or badly damage something.


Sentence: I wrecked my mother's car.

17. Smash: to cause something to break noisily into a lot of small pieces.
Sentence: He smashed the vase with a hammer.
