Oxylog 3000 plus, Oxylog 3000 and Oxylog 2000 plus:

Extension of the Replacement Interval for Internal Battery

Dear colleagues,

Up to now, the internal rechargeable battery (2M86733) of the Oxylog 3000 plus, Oxylog 3000
and Oxylog 2000 plus has to be replaced every 2 years. Improved cell technology, which has
already been used in the batteries for some time, now allows the replacement interval to be
extended from 2 to 4 years, following the successful completion of ongoing market monitoring
and internal ageing tests. Thus, from now on, this battery has to be exchanged only every 4
years (exception: Oxylog 3000 plus USA due to approval topics). A note to this effect will be
included in the user manual per insert (9511150) and the service documentation will be
updated and available in ServiceConnect as soon as possible. Due to the extended service
life of the battery, its list price (ZREF) will be increased as of 1 July 2022, but the average
service cost of ownership (SCoO) per year for the customer will decrease. Please therefore
check any necessary adjustments in the service contracts with your customers.

The next time the internal battery needs to be replaced after 2 years, it can remain in the unit
for another 2 years. The insert Oxylog family maintenance intervals (9511150), which informs
about the extended replacement interval of the internal battery, must then be made available
to the customer.

The today’s maintenance sets, Oxylog Service-Set 2 years (MX08892 & MX08755) and
Oxylog Service-Set 6 years (MX08893 & MX08756), will be available in the future only in USA
for Oxylog 3000 plus. For the rest of the world new maintenance sets will be on hand:
▪ MX08911 Oxylog Service-Set 2 years (with Spirolog)
▪ MX08912 Oxylog Service-Set 4 years (for Spirolife)
▪ MX08913 Oxylog Service-Set 4 years (with Spirolog)
▪ MX08914 Oxylog Service-Set 6 years (for Spirolife)
▪ MX08915 Oxylog Service-Set 6 years (with Spirolog)

In addition, the filter fleece (2M86341), which is now the only remaining maintenance part of
the 2-year interval for Oxylog with Spirolife, is in future available individually or as part of the
4- and 6-year service sets after the old 2-year service sets have been sold off.

Verlängerung des Austauschintervalls für internen Akku

Sehr geehrte Kolleginnen und Kollegen,

beim Oxylog 3000 plus, Oxylog 3000 und Oxylog 2000 plus ist bisher alle 2 Jahre der Aus-
tausch des internen Akkus (2M86733) erforderlich. Eine verbesserte Zelltechnologie, die
bereits seit einiger Zeit in den Akkus verwendet wird, erlaubt nun, nach erfolgreichem
Abschluss laufender Marktbeobachtung und interner Alterungstests, die Verlängerung des
Austauschintervalls von 2 auf 4 Jahre. Deshalb muss dieser Akku ab sofort nur noch alle 4
Jahre ausgetauscht werden. Ein entsprechender Vermerk wird in der Gebrauchsanweisung
per Einlegeblatt (9511150) aufgenommen und die Service-Dokumentation wird zeitnah
aktualisiert in ServiceConnect verfügbar sein. Aufgrund der verlängerten Standzeit des Akkus
wird dessen Listenpreis (ZREF) zum 01.07.2022 erhöht, dennoch sinken die
durchschnittlichen Service Cost of Ownership (SCoO) pro Jahr für den Kunden. Bitte prüfen
Sie deshalb ggfs. erforderliche Anpassungen in den Serviceverträgen mit Ihren Kunden.

Wenn das nächste Mal der interne Akkus nach 2 Jahren auszutauschen wäre, kann dieser für
weitere 2 Jahre im Gerät verbleiben. Das Einlegeblatt Oxylog-Familie Wartungsintervalle
(9511150), das über das verlängerte Austauschintervall des internen Akkus informiert, muss
dann dem Kunden zur Verfügung gestellt werden.

Die Bestände der bisher verfügbaren Wartungssets, Oxylog Service-Set 2 Jahre (MX08892 &
MX08755) und Oxylog Service-Set 6 Jahre (MX08893 & MX08756), werden abverkauft und
durch die folgenden neuen Wartungssets ersetzt:
▪ MX08911 Oxylog Service-Set 2 Jahre (mit Spirolog)
▪ MX08912 Oxylog Service-Set 4 Jahre (für Spirolife)
▪ MX08913 Oxylog Service-Set 4 Jahre (mit Spirolog)
▪ MX08914 Oxylog Service-Set 6 Jahre (für Spirolife)
▪ MX08915 Oxylog Service-Set 6 Jahre (mit Spirolog)

Außerdem gibt es das Filtervlies (2M86341), das nunmehr das einzige verbliebene
Wartungsteil des 2-Jahres-Intervalls für Oxylog mit Spirolife ist, nach Abverkauf der alten 2-
Jahres-Service-Sets nur noch einzeln bzw. als Bestandteil der 4- und 6 Jahres-Sets.
