EXTERIOR LIGHTING

Strobe lights

Navigation lights On A320 aircraft fitted with Sharklets, the


navigation and the strobe lights on the wings
have different position and technology (LED).
In certain conditions, the strobe lights may
cause distraction during the flight. The flight
crew can switch them off if the lights cause
any visual trouble.

A blue light below each light monitor the wear


Blue lights of the light. When this light flashes blue, the
strobe light replacement should be planned.

Due to a modification introduced in the FAC,
VMCG are increased by 1.6 kt and by 1 kt for CFM
and IAE engines respectively.
The minimum control speeds VMCA and VMCL
remain unchanged.
