1. A job vacancy is defined as a paid post that is newly created, unoccupied, or
about to become vacant:
For which the employer is taking active steps and is prepared to take further
steps to find a suitable candidate from outside the enterprise concerned
Which the employer intends to fill either immediately or within a specific
period of time.
A job posting is a way that an organization communicates with the public
about a vacant position that it wishes to fill.
The posting gives applicants a good idea about what qualifications are
necessary, what the new hire will do and how much the job pays.
The posting allows the organization to communicate to the public what it
wants in the person who fills the job. The following information is included
in most job postings.
Purpose of a vacancy is open the position and someone needs to fill it and do that job. There is a need to hire
someone who matches the necessary job requirements.
3. Soft skills are personal habits and traits that shape how you work, on your own and with others. Effective
communication, for example, is a key soft skill many employers seek. Some others include dependability, effective
teamwork and active listening.
Soft skills is important to showcase because some employers may prefer to select candidates who have a stronger set
of soft skills over hard skills, as soft skills are at times more difficult to develop. For example, if you have references
that can attest to the effectiveness of your soft skills, such as empathy, open-mindedness and communication, an
employer may choose you over another candidate whose hard skills are stronger but who lacks the same level of soft
skills.
