and other papers documenting Malik's teaching career at the American University of Beirut and public service as Lebanese
minister to the United States, as Lebanese delegate to the United Nations and president of its General Assembly, and as
Lebanon's foreign minister during a period of civil and political strife.
Administrative Information
Provenance
The papers of Charles Habib Malik, Lebanese diplomat, statesman, philosopher, and educator, were given to the Library of
Congress by Malik from 1978 to 1983. In 1998 Habib C. Malik gave articles published by his father in 1986 and
posthumously in 1994.
Processing History
The Malik Papers were processed in 1998. The finding aid was revised in 2010.
