Topic description- Swami Vivekananda was a prominent figure in the revival of Hinduism in India, and his philosophies emphasized the importance of spiritual rebirth, inner transformation, and the pursuit of absolute truth. He also advocated for yoga, karma, and devotion as means to achieve spiritual growth and to connect with the divine. Rules and regulations- e The format of the debate is conventional. e Participants must exclusively address the topics assigned to them; speaking on other motion will result in their disqualification e Motions once allotted, cannot be changed. e Per speaker time is 5 minutes(divided as 2 minutes For the motion,2 minutes against the motion and 1 min for concluding remarks),exceeding the time limit will lead to negative marking. A timer will be presented on the screen, and will start as soon as you start speaking. The participants will receive the first tap at 2 minutes, second tap at 4 minutes and the final tap will be given at 5 minutes. Participants are requested to announce their topic before they start speaking. The Debate is bilingual, i.e. participants are allowed to either speak in Hindi or English. (whereas language purity should be maintained throughout the speech) Decorum must be maintained during the course of event and refrain from doing unparliamentary activities such as- e Turning on the microphone when it is not required e using derogatory words and remarks Kindly note that a maximum of three calls will be made for the participants to present their arguments.
