The Director General is the primary person responsible for managing all legal issues that
are brought to the office of the prime minister. Working closely with the management
team, ministries and other partners, the Director General manages draft legislations,
regulations, and directives and provides legal opinion on other legal issues brought to the
attention of the Prime minister, deputy prime minister and council of ministers.
Standardize and redraft as it is required, all policy and strategy documents initiated by
respective ministries before they are tabled to the council of ministers
Takes lead in identifying and addressing potential legal issues and risks for current
activities, operations and strategic initiatives. Supervises Legal Affairs staff and oversee a
department.

2011, 14-17 Mar 2011, and 19-22 Oct 2009.
