Introduction: Mental health is a critical aspect of overall well-being, influencing how individuals
think, feel, and behave in various life situations. The conventional approach to mental health often
focuses on treatment and intervention after the onset of symptoms. However, a paradigm shift
towards a holistic model is necessary, one that encompasses prevention, early intervention, and
community support to foster mental well-being.
Body:
In terms of resilience-building, our model emphasizes integrating mental health education into
school curricula, fostering emotional intelligence, stress management, and interpersonal skills.
Collaboration with businesses for workplace wellness programs further enhances mental strength
and adaptability. The community connection component involves the establishment of community
centers as hubs for resources and support groups, along with advocacy for peer support networks.
Lastly, education and advocacy efforts, spanning public awareness campaigns and policy
advocacy, play a pivotal role in ensuring mental health remains a societal priority. Through these
interconnected components, our holistic approach aims to proactively address mental health,
fostering healthier individuals and stronger communities.
