encountered with some challenges which hinder their performance. Describe three
possible challenges those traders encounted
(b) Suggest two ways to overcome the challenges in part (a) above
4. Suppose you have been employed in one of the wholesalers warehouses as a store keeper.
Describe five stock administration functions that would help you to perform your work
property.
5. (a) Some form one students failed to answer one of their homework which was about the
importance’s of commerce in everyday life situation. Assist them by providing brief
explanations on three importances’ of commerce.
(b) From your explanations in part (a) one of the students told you that her grandmother
exchanged goat with beans those days with no money. Provide two disadvantages of this
kind of trade

6. Mr. Amos is planning to transport vegetables from Morogoro to Dar es salaam using
either road or railway transport. He invited you to advise him o the type of transport so
that he can make decision on his plan. By giving five advantages, convince him to use
road rather than railway transport.
7. Songambele is a business man who deals with buying and selling of wheat flour. He buys
his stock in bulk from Azam industry in Dar es salaam and sells the product to different
retailers in Mwanza region. In five points, explain how retailers facilitates Azam industry
in its daily business activities.

SECTION C (30 MARKS)


8. Some entrepreneurs in your area of residence failed to succeed in their businesses
because they lacked knowledge of inter related demand for a commodity. Assist them to
solve the problem by explaining to them four major types of interrelated demand for a
commodity.
9. Assume your name has been short listed for an interview to work with Wakulima
company. How would you differentiate successful entrepreneurs from unsuccessful
entrepreneurs? (Give five points)
10. (a) Mr. Malwana is a well-known farmer in Uganda. He owns an export business
producing tomatoes and milk for the European Market. Which means of transport is the
most reliable for transporting tomatoes transport is the most reliable for transporting
tomatoes and milk from Uganda to Europe?
(b) From your explanations in part (a) above, suggest five benefits of such means of
transport, which Mr. Malwana enjoys through using such means of transport.
