Rise of the Resistance Enters Disneyland Park

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is the third Star Wars ride to
join the park.
ANAHEIM, Calif.: Disneyland Park has announced the opening of a new Star Wars ride

in Galaxy’s Edge that will open on Jan.17.

After the movie “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” was released, many new fans became

part of the Star Wars universe. To add to the excitement, Disneyland Park has created a third

ride for Star Wars fans which is the, “Rise of the Resistance”.

The new ride will be joining “Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run” in “Star Wars: Galaxy’s

Edge” and will be located towards the back of Disneyland Park.

The new attraction is one of Disneyland’s most complex ride to date. The ride also

clocks in at around 15 minutes from start to finish because of all the amazing features

incorporated into the ride.

The ride involves animatronics for some of the characters, a drop tower effect to

simulate a ride in space, various holograms including one before the ride starts of Rey speaking

to the new recruits on what their mission will be in order to help the Resistance, and high-

definition projection screens that are used to help depict battles scenes that make the ride seem

so life-like for the guests on board the ride.

Disney Park creative executive. “I feel like we are prepared to welcome our new

resistance recruits.”

“Rise of the Resistance” offers something different compared to other rides in the park.

Instead of being greeted with a warm welcome, guests are greeted rudely and sassy to play the

part of the Dark Side.

Along with the “Rise of the Resistance” opening, Disneyland will be launching a new

virtual queuing system.

That means that guests must download the Disneyland Park app in order to join the

virtual queue for “Rise of the Resistance “ then when sent a notification via phone guests can

enter the line.

The virtual queue for “Rise of the Resistance” will open for time slots at 8 a.m. when

Disneyland Park opens. Thus, it is a first come, first serve basis for guests and reservations are

limited.

The concept of the new ride has never been attempted before by Disney Parks, and the

fight between the Resistance and the First Order will enhance the experience of the guests who

cannot wait to ride the “Rise of the Resistance”.

Come and join the fun in Galaxy’s edge for the “Rise of the Resistance” and don’t forget

to bring your light sabers!
