The letter

I am writing to ask you if you could help me with my problem. I would be grateful if you gave
me some advice. In transition, the body transforms, young men and women see new
shapes and sizes, feel out of their skin and struggle to get used to new ones. Not
surprisingly, teenagers, especially girls, may experience nutritional and health
problems during this period. It is difficult to determine causes and effects, what
exactly is happening and how to deal with it. Unfortunately, I am one of the teenagers who have
experienced this problem.

The thing is, one day I got sick from eating and vomited. I felt
bad, it made me sad, but at the same time, I remember perfectly
well the wonderful feelings of purity and emptiness that came in
their place. Because I ate a regular lunch and I didn’t eat anything
at the same time! And I’ve decided it’s not a bad way to get the
«perfect weight». But it turned into a situation with terrible
consequences, because every time I got the weight I needed, it seemed big again and I couldn’t
stop. Three months later, without breakfast, without lunch, and with dinner that was quickly
weaned out of the body, the first bout of uncontrolled
overeating was just around the corner. I realized that I had
absolutely no control over what was happening, that I
could not quench the hunger that was sitting deep inside.
That’s how I knew I had bulimia, even though I didn’t want
to admit it. And the irony is that bulimia starts out as a
completely controlled process, but it turns into a snowball
very quickly, and it’s completely out of control. There are also many unpleasant consequences
to this disease. For example, tooth decay and loss, swelling and tenderness of salivary glands
due to repeated vomiting, stomach ulcers, gastric and esophagus tears, dehydration with all its
consequences, loss of interest in life, suicidal tendencies and so on.

That’s why I need your help. I’d like some advice on what to do next. I don’t
want to tell my parents about my problem, so I want to try to solve it myself.
Someone was cured of bulimia without the help of specialists? If so, how? Or do I
have to see a doctor to fight this disease?? So, I will wait to hear from you soon.
