DIVINE GRACE CHURCH (H.V.) INT.
SUNDAY SERVICE, BIBLE TEACHING TITLED

THE FRUIT OF A SANCTIFIED LIFE.

The phrase refers to the results or outcomes of leading a pure and holy life.
Text John, Chapter 17: 6-23.
Christians generally talk about three spiritual experiences or works of grace, I,e

Christian experience of salvation, sanctification, and then the Holy Spirit,

baptism.
At salvation, a now born-again believer has a measure of the Spirit of God.
He discovers, however, that despite the presence of the Spirit of God in him,
certain inadequacies still manifest.
As it was clearly manifested in the life of the disciples of Christ before their
sanctification, arguments, contention, position, seeking unholy ambition that puts
self first before others, wanting to be leader rather than a servant of the people,
wrath all manifested.

(Mark 10: 35-45. Matthew 20;20 - 28.)

Our Lord Jesus Christ saw that and therefore prayed for His disciples and all that
will believe through them.
He allowed himself to be crucified outside the gate of Jerusalem.
He carried a curse for all believers by allowing himself to be hanged on the cross
so that we might be sanctified Hebrews 13:12.

From our text, certain features in the life of a believer become clearly
manifested.
These features are the purpose of Christ praying for the Church concerning
sanctification. In John chapters 17: 21-23, a notable character shows in this is
Unity of the Church.

But no individual can unite with another individual or others, except there comes
in the factor that unites people.

This singular virtue is called love. Except there is love, there will be no unity.

if you watch closely the product of sanctification in the following reference you
will discover that the end product of the sanctified life is love.

And the Lord thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to
love the Lord thy God with all thine heart and with all thy soul that thou mayest
live. Deuteronomy chapter 30:6
Little wonder therefore that as soon as the works of the flesh mentioned in
Galatians 5:19-21, are removed by God's own operation on the heart, the fruit of
the Spirit begins to manifest. This fruit of the Spirit, namely love, joy, peace,
long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith. meekness, and temperance begin to
operate in the believer's life. Galatians 5: 22 - 23.
But we are told that the greatest of these virtues is love. (i Corinthian 13:13).

Remember that the first of the fruit of the Spirit mentioned above is Love and
without it. Other virtues will not be noticeable.
When a believer's soul is therefore sanctified, love for God, love for Christ,
Love for the church and saints, and love even for unbelievers will manifest.

As soon, therefore, as a believer is sanctified,

he begins to walk in love as Christ also hath loved his them. Ephesians 5: 2.
He can now put on love, which is the bond of perfectness. Colossians 3: 14.
Henceforth the believer is able to dwell in love as God himself has manifested it.

( I John chapter 4: 16)
