Individual report

We started off by thinking a bit about how the movie was going to be, what genre it was going to
be, and how the plot should have played out. So I came up with the idea of a horror movie
where three completely different people are working at a new place, but the plot twist being that
the place is actually cursed and that the boss is crazy.

So we started writing like crazy and kept going on and on, and while writing I found out that it
was actually quite fun to make some crazy story up because there really is no limit to the
madness. You might notice that I took some inspiration from the “Saw” movies, where
characters with no connection to each other are put in some psychos experiment and they have
to escape.

I gave the characters some life with backstories for all of them. Just so they wouldn’t be as
bland. I also gave Cole the ability to turn invincible but he can’t control it yet. The inspiration for
the invisibility power was from “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse”.

Then we went on to the script. We chose a scene that wouldn’t be too hard to film because most
of the scenes from our plot would need a different location than FG or they would need some
crazy Hollywood level cgi. It didn’t take too long to record all the clips and then straight away
Arnór went on to edit the movie on his phone in iMovie.

What I learned from this was how fun it is to make up a world of your own where anything can
happen, and then proceed to go on and try to show someone else what you are imagining by
making a film.

Overall it was really fun to create a movie of our own. From brainstorming the plot to recording,
it was all in all a very fun experience.
