Creativity and Technology Celebrated

Samyak, the prestigious annual
national-level__techno-management-
law fest, and AVINYA 2023, the techno-
cultural fest, converged to celebrate an
inspiring fusion of technology and
artistry. Both the events provided a
stage to showcase the unwavering
dedication and exceptional talent of
the students.
Samyak, a renowned festival organized
by KL Deemed to be University,
unfolded at Vaddeswaram campus. Dr.
Vinod Kumar, IAS, from AP Skill
Development Corporation graced the
occasion as the Chief Guest. Similarly,
AVINYA 2023, held at Aziz Nagar
Campus in Hyderabad, boasted
creative exhibits with Dr.
Swaminathan Manikandan as the
Chief Guest. The fest also featured live
performances by prominent film
director Tharun Bhascker, Tollywood's
renowned actors Mr. Sunil and many
more, creating an __ electrifying
atmosphere.
KL Deemed to be University has been
selected to receive the award of 100 “5G
Use Case Labs.” This prestigious award
is granted to select competent
academic institutions in India by the
Department of Telecommunications
(DoT), specifically to the Department of
Electronics and — Communication
Engineering of the University. On the

Students Triumph as Winners of the Hackathon

At an event named Terralogic Hackathon
organized by Terralogic, a leading software
and IT services company, a three-member
team from KL Deemed to be University
emerged as the winners. The objective of
the hackathon was to create a full-stack
web application for a given problem
statement and provide a cloud-based
deployment solution in AWS. A total of 30
teams competed at the on-site hackathon,
and the KL team, consisting of the B.Tech,
CSE branch students Shaik Muzamil
Raheman, NV Anil Ramakrishna, and Syed
Anwar Hussain, secured the first place.

Innovation and Inspiration Converged
The most prestigious national-level techno-management-law fest, Samyak, annually
organized by KL Deemed to be University, was held at the picturesque green field
campus in Vaddeswaram from the 20th-2ist October. Dr. Vinod Kumar IAS, the
Managing Director of AP Skill Development Corporation, graced the event as the Chief
Guest, delivering an inspiring speech:
A vibrant Ayudha Puja ceremony is held
across the campuses of the University.
Educational materials such as books, pens,
pencils, instruments, and other equipment
are venerated to signify the victory of
knowledge over ignorance. The Soil
Mechanics Lab of the Civil Engineering
Department, along with Civil Engineering
faculty members, lent a significant and
auspicious touch to the event. Ayudha Puja
was also performed at the FAB Lab by the
Department of Mechanical Engineering.

recently organized the "Mr & Ms Civil"
competition at the Vijayawada campus.
This offline event celebrated the talents
and knowledge of civil engineering
students and served as a platform for
individual participants to display their
skills. The competition featured various
segments, including a writing
competition and a photography
competition. After a rigorous selection
process, Ms. P. Dhanya Sri from the final
year was crowned as Ms. Civil, while Mr.
Il is M. Purna Sagar from the 2nd
year of the Civil Engineering

The Human Knot of MBA Students
MBA students at KL Business School of KL
Deemed to be University, organized an
exhilarating 'Human Knot! challenge. In
this dynamic team-building exercise,
participants formed a circle, entwining
their hands in pairs with the goal of
untangling the knot while maintaining a
strong grip. This activity fostered
teamwork, communication, and problem-
solving skills, setting the stage for a
successful event.
Department of Mechanical
Engineering conducted a Robo War
Contest, to encourage participants
improve their technical skills in
Robotics. This competition aimed at
motivating the students to learn and
fabricate small autonomous robots for
various applications, and encourage
participants to create models that
address environmental or social issues,
such as sustainable design, disaster
relief, or community development
projects. This contest provided a
platform for participants to showcase
their talents and receive recognition
for their skills in the field of Robotics.

The AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL)
Faculty Development Program (FDP) has
been sanctioned for KL Deemed to be
University. The Department of Electronics
and Communication Engineering (ECE) is
organizing an ATAL Sponsored FDP on
“Emerging Technologies in Wearable
Energy Harvesting and Storage Devices for
Driving Innovative Sustainability"

Agriculture Students Engage in Rural
Awareness
In a commendable initiative, students
from KL College of Agriculture
undertook a Rural Awareness Work
Experiential Programme (RAWEP) in
the village of Kaza, Guntur District. As a
part of their extension course, they
employed Participatory Rural Appraisal
(PRA) techniques, creating a detailed
village map and elucidating the diverse
resources and facilities accessible to
the society. This community-driven
activity exemplifies the organisation's
commitment to rural development and
awareness.
Eco-Furniture Design
Workshop at the School
of Architecture
In a concerted effort to promote
sustainability, the KL School of Architecture
hosted a 3-day technical workshop titled
“Design-a-Thon: ECOFURN." This event
centered on the art of designing eco-
friendly furniture utilizing recyclable
materials. The workshop not only
showcased participants actively engaged
in creative design but also provided an
excellent platform for students to shape a
sustainable future.

Technologies Pvt. Ltd. During this visit,
students had the opportunity to learn
about the working and operation of
Drone Camera Technology. Mr. Gopi
Raja, the Managing Director of Fopple
Drone Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is the
University’s alumni and served as the
resource person for the visit.

‘Soccer. Robot Competition’ is
conducted by National Instruments (NI)
CoE technical club of the Department
of ECE as a part of Pre-Samyak events.
HOD Dr. Suman Maloji launched the
event along with coordinator Dr. M.
Sujatha and student members. The
response to the event was
overwhelmingly positive and inspired
many towards Robotics.

the CSE-Honors Department, has published a
research article titled ‘Deep Residual
Convolutional Neural Network: An Efficient
Technique for Intrusion Detection System’ in a
QI Journal. Dr. Yogesh Kumar Sharma, a
professor in the CSE-Honors Department, has
also contributed with his research article on
‘Developing an SDN Security Mode-Based
Lightweight Service Path Validation with Batch
Hashing and Tag Verification; published in the
same QI Journal.

Phase of the 25th Solar Cycle" in the journal
“Remote Sensing (QI; SCI Impact Factor -
5.0)," in collaboration with the Indian
Institute of Geomagnetism and other
reputable universities abroad.
Impressive International Placement Offers in
Japanese Companies
In a recent milestone, KL Deemed to be University students achieved international
placements offers with reputed Japanese companies. Human Resocia, a renowned
company, conducted campus selections, in which nine students including Ms. Bandi
Navaneetha, an MCA student secured a CTC offers of 43,14,890.40 yen (equivalent to Rs.
24 lakhs). This marked the first international placement for the Computer Science and
Applications (CSA) department.
To start with, ECE student Mr. Nemagiri Snehith secured a position at Aisan Industry
Co. Ltd in Japan, the world's largest automotive parts manufacturer. His annual
compensation is 50,71,812 Japanese Yen (equivalent to Rs. 28.09 Lakh).
In addition, C_Net Corporation/BAYCUBE C Inc., another Japanese company, selected
Nusimala Krishna Vamsi, a CSE student from the 2024 batch, with an impressive CTC of
51,52,000 Japanese yen (equivalent to Rs. 28.65 LPA).
