    With reference to letter of even no. dated 13.09.2023 for addressing the issues
    being faced in field in maintenance of TWS turnouts. Even after retro-fitment of existing
    TWS turnouts has been carried out to mitigate frequent failures of Thick Web Switches
    and after retro-fitment the problem of gauge holding doesn’t get resolved (i.e. gauge is
    not holding well) even after implementing measures like provision of metal liner or ERC
    Mark V and tie plates for holding sleepers etc.

    List of TWS points giving freq failures are attached with this letter.

    This is for your kind information and necessary action please.
