Module No. 5
Title of the Module: Meteorology
1. Discuss at least three ways of how anthropogenic (human) activities affect the
climate.

Fossil-fuel burning, such as coal, oil, and natural gas. Together with our
population, our dependence on fossil fuels has continued to grow as we burn fossil
fuels that release greenhouse gases is the main contributor to climate change that traps
the main gases produced by humans in heat are carbon dioxide and methane landfills.
Human activity is to blame for deforestation for the most part, although natural
disasters contributed. Deforestation occurs when the trees are cut down and burned or
allowed to rot, their stored carbon is released as carbon dioxide into the air.
The expansion and intensive use of agricultural land, poor irrigation practices,
deforestation, and overgrazing include human activities that contribute to
desertification. Less available land for grazing and less productive soils, decreased
soil fertility and reduced vegetation cover are the consequences of this.

2. Draw two weather instruments that you think will be essential in your home.
Explain how important are these in your home.

A thermometer will help you forecast your health just as it will help to forecast
the weather. The barometer saves lives since it helps predict the approach of poor
weather.
