ABSTRAK POTENSI ANTIBAKTERI EKSTRAK ETANOL KONSORSIUM HERBAL TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN BAKTERI Staphylococcus aureus dan Escherichia coli Siti Fatima Latar Belakang: Penyakit akibat infeksi bakteri merupakan masalah serius dalam kesehatan, timbulnya —penyakit infeksi yang —disebabkan oleh bakteri, Bakteri_ merupakan mikroorganisme penyebab infeksi. Tanaman obat yang berpotensi sebagai antibakteri sangat banyak ditemukan di indonesia diantaranya yaitu rimpang temu giring (Curcuma heyneana), rimpang temulawak (Curcuma xanthorrhiza), bunga melati (Jasminum sambac) dan buah parijoto (Medinilla speciosa Blume). Kandungan bahan aktif dari tanaman tersebut yaitu flavonoid, saponin tanin dan minyak atsiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetaluui potensi aya hambat dan konsentrasi hambat minimal (KHM) ekstrak etanol konsorsium herbal terhadap bakteri Staphylococcus aureus dan Escherichia coli Metode: Ekstraksi menggunakan metode maserasi dengan larutan etanol pada konsentrasi 10%, 20%, 40%, 60%, 80% serta uji pada bakteri dengan metode difusi cakram dan analisis data menggunakan anova, Korelasi dan regresi. Hasil: Hasil dari analisis diameter zona hambat terhadap Staphylococcus aureus dan Escherichia coli diperoleh nilai signifikan 0,000 (p<0,05). Konsentrasi hambat optimum tethadap Staphylococcus aureus pada konsentrasi 60% sedangkan bakteri Escherichia coli pada konsentrasi 40% dalam kategori kuat dapat hubungan yang positif dan sangat kuat antara konsentrasi dengan diameter zona hambat bakteti tethadap Staphylococcus aureus dan Escherichia coli. Hasil dari regresi linier tethadap Staphylococcus aureus diperoleh persamaan Y~ 0,0987x + 5,4963 sedangkan Escherichia coli diperoleh persamaan Y~ 0,0845x + 7,153. Hasil dari uji One Way Anova diperoleh daya hambat pada kedua bakteri tidak berbeda nyata Kesimpulan: Ekstrak etanol konsorsium herbal memiliki potensi antibakteri terhadap bakteri Staphylococcus aureus dan Escherichia coli dan mempunyai hubungan yang erat dengan pengaruh Konsentrasi terhadap daya hambat kedua bakteri Staphylococcus aureus sebesar 97,72% sisa sebesar 2,28% dan daya hambat bakteri Escherichia coli sebesar 86,77% sisa sebesar 13,23%. Uji menunjukan tidak berbeda nyata Kata Kunei: Antibakteri, konsorsium herbal, Staphylococcus aureus dan Escherichia coli. ABSTRACT POTENTIAL ANTIBACTERIAL HERBAL CONSORTIUM OF ETHANOL EXTRACT ON THE GROWTH OF BACTERIALS Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli Siti Fatimah Background: Diseases caused by bacterial infections are a serious health problem, during the last few years there has been an increase in the incidence of infectious diseases caused by bacteria. Bacteria are microorganisms that cause infection. Bacteria can be divided into 2 cells, namely gram-positive bacteria and gram-negative bacteria. Medicinal plants that have the potential as antibacterial are very much found in Indonesia, including the temu giring rhizome (Curcuma heyneana), temulawak rhizome (Curcuma xanthorrhiza), jasmine flower (Jasminum sambac) and parijoto fruit (Medinilla speciose Blume). The active ingredients of this plant are flavonoids, saponins, tannins and essential oils. This study aims to determine the potential inhibition and minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) of the ethanol extract of the herbal consortium against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli bacteria Methods: Extraction using maceration method with ethanol solution and test on bacteria by dise diffusion method and data analysis using ANOVA, correlation and regression Results: The results of the analysis of the diameter of the inhibition zone against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli obtained a significant value of 0.000 (p <0.05). The optimum inhibitory concentration against Staphylococcus aureus was at a concentration of 60% while Escherichia coli bacteria at a concentration of 40% in the strong category had 4@ positive and very strong relationship between the concentration and the diameter of the hacterial inhibition zone against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli. The results of linear regression against Staphylococcus aureus obtained the equation Y= 0.0987x + 5.4963 while Escherichia coli obtained the equation Y= 0,0845x + 7.153. The results of thetest One Way Anova showed that the inhibitory power of the two bacteria was not significantly different Conclusion: The ethanolic extract of the herbal consortium has antibacterial potential against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli bacteria and has a close relationship with the effect of concentration on the inhibitory power of the twobacteria Staphylococcus aureus by 97.72%, the remaining 2.28% and the inhibitory power of Escherichia coli bacteria by 86. ,77% the remaining 13.23% The test showed no significant difference.
