NEW FEATURES

1. AFS Harvest Command: Feed Rate Control  Throughput Control:

o Level 1:
BENEFITS:
 Higher productivity
 RPM of harvesting functions increases based on base
Improved fuel consumption cutter and chopper pressure to prevent choking.
 Increased durability
o Level 2:
 If the harvesting functions reach maximum speed but
the base cutter or chopper pressure remains high the
groundspeed will be automatically reduced to avoid
choking.
 When base cutter pressure returns to normal the
harvester will automatically revert to the ground
speed chosen by the operator.

 Cutting Quality:
o As ground speed increases, the relative cutting speed of
the blade is reduced, to compensate for this the base
cutter disc speed automatically increases.

 Ground Speed 0 – 4.5 mph: Base cutter speed is

automatically adjusted as needed to prevent choking.
 Ground Speed above 4.5 mph: Base cutter RPM also
will automatically increase proportionally to ground
speed to maintain the best cutting quality.
2. New crop dividers arms

BENEFITS:
 Increased durability

Stronger new cast arms replace the old

design that used multiple pieces welded
together.
The casting eliminates weld related
stress concentrations, and provide the
optimum balance between weight &
strength.

8
3. New side trim knife arms

BENEFITS:
 Increased durability

A robust new cast arm replaces the old design

with multiple pieces welded together. The casting
eliminates weld related stress concentrations, and
provide the optimum balance between weight &
strength.

9
4. New front suspension cylinder

BENEFITS:
 Better serviceability
 Better stability

9900 Single Row Model Suspension cylinder located in

front of tracks.

“Rod Up” orientation provides improved seal protection in

wet / muddy conditions

10
5. Modular chassis and hydraulic tanks with bolted connections

BENEFITS:
 Better serviceability
 More flexibility

The 9000 series chassis is composed of seven modular sections that are bolted together to create the main frame. The removable fuel tank
is plastic and is no longer part of the chassis. The hydraulic tanks are now non-structural and can be removed for service. Off season inspection
and service of the topper mount and primary extractor mount can now be performed at ground level.

11
6. New Auto Tracker System

BENEFITS:

 Increased reliability
 Faster response

Controls the base cutter height based on a reference

pressure and position of the
suspension cylinder. “Nitrogen cylinder” has been
eliminated from the system.

12
7. New front windshield guard

BENEFITS:
 Serviceability
 Safety

The new hinged design also

functions as a work platform to access the
front of the cab for cleaning and
maintenance.

13
8. New right hand console

BENEFITS:
 Easier operation
 Improved Ergonomics

The right hand console has been updated with

more intuitive symbols, functions have been arranged
so that the commonly used controls are closest to the
Multi-Function Handle. USB power outlet has been
added
to the front of the console.

14
9. Ready Mode

BENEFITS:
 Lower fuel consumption
 Higher durability
 Easier operation
 Reduced operator fatigue

After the harvester has been stationary for 20 seconds, the engine RPM and all harvesting functions
slow down to “Ready Mode”. When the operator moves the ground drive control, the engine RPM and all
harvest functions automatically return to “Harvest Mode”. This feature significantly reduces fuel
consumption, component wear, and does not require any additional effort from the operator.

15
10. New Exit Lights System

BENEFITS:

 Serviceability
 Safety

When the lights are turned on and the key is switched off,
this lights will stay on for an additional 90 seconds, allowing the
operator to leave the cab and step down the machine with better
visibility.

16
11. New Battery box

BENEFITS:

 Serviceability

The batteries are now located close to the engine box.

The electrical system is 12 volt DC, with two batteries in
parallel. The new position and installation makes battery
inspection and removal easy. Remote power supply lugs are
conveniently located below the batteries.

17
12. New service lights and switch position

BENEFITS:

 Serviceability

For easier maintenance & inspection in low visibility

conditions, the engine box has 2 internal lights. Switches for
the engine box lights and topper/base cutter service light are
located inside the engine box.

18
13. New Engine – FPT Cursor11- 310kw (415hp)

BENEFITS:

 Lower fuel consumption

 Higher engine life

The 9000 Series features the FPT Cursor 11 engine rated @ 310 kW
(415 hp), replacing the Cursor 9 rated @ 260 kW (353 hp) used in the
8000 series.
The larger displacement Cursor 11 engine operates with both the Rated
RPM and Smart Cruise RPM significantly lower than the Cursor 9 in
the 8000 series. The benefits of lower engine rpm are reduced
internal wear and reduced fuel consumption.
Preliminary results indicate 50% increase in operating hours before
major overhaul.

19
14. Improved hydraulic system

The completely redesigned hydraulic system utilizes variable displacement piston pumps for more efficient
usage of power in all high load circuits, and gear pumps on low demand circuits for cylinders, elevator and charge
circuits.
By minimizing parasitic losses the new hydraulic system improves fuel consumption. Variable displacement
pumps allow harvest function speed to be independent of engine speed, increasing harvesting efficiency. The new
pump gearbox with optimized gear ratio allows the Cursor 11 engine and the hydraulic pumps to operate at peak
performance.

20
15. Hydraulic oil

BENEFITS:

 Reduced TCO (total cost of ownership)

The hydraulic oil has also changed from W100 to W68 that costs around 30% less. The total volume of oil inside the
machine also reduced, from 600 liters to 500 liters (16% less). W68 oil also improves cold weather performance.

Total cost/liter Total cost

Oil (liters) (USD) Delta (%) (USD) Delta (%)

21
16. New cooling system

BENEFITS:

 Better serviceability
 Better reliability

The 9000 Series includes a completely

redesigned cooling package. Key Improvements:

- Vertical arrangement allows easier removal

of individual coolers.
- New horizontal folding door design provides
improved access
- More efficient hydraulic system no longer
requires second cooler

22
17. New air intake system

BENEFITS:

 More durability
 Lower TCO

Completely redesigned air intake system maintains

the quality of air entering into the engine. Includes air
intake, filters, sensors, plumbing, exhaust and muffler.
Replacement of air filters cost has been reduced by 45%.

23
18. DEF (Diesel exhaust circuit)

BENEFITS:

 Emissions requirement
 EGR system not required

Components to supply DEF into the engine exhaust system. Includes DEF
tank, injection controller, filters, level sensor, plumbing and injector.

- No Internal or External EGR system

- Urea tank capacity: 70 liters
- Estimated DEF cost: US$ 2.70/Gallon
- DEF consumption: Under review

24
19. Machine Weight & Dimensions

25
20. Elevator options

NOTE: The 8000 Series included a 300 mm extension between the Elevator Head Shaft and the Secondary
Extractor, at Full OKTS in 2021 a new elevator design will be introduced that eliminates the requirement for this extra
extension.
