Before I relate this case to the report of the first group, I will first discuss a

summary of what I have learned and read throughout the case.

South America's largest nation and the sixth most populous in the world is Brazil. It

has a rich and diverse cultural past. Among its well-known traditions are Samba

music, Carnival, and trips into the Amazon rainforest. Brazil is home to more than

200 million people with a diverse range of racial and cultural backgrounds.

Portuguese colonialism, imperial control, and eventual independence in 1822 and

beyond are the main elements of the country's history. Brazil has seen moments of

wealth throughout its history, driven by agricultural products like coffee, followed

by modernity and political upheaval. Despite enduring political and economic

difficulties, Brazil has maintained its position as the world leader in agricultural

production and natural resource rankings in the twenty-first century. Bolsa Família,

one of the government's biggest initiatives in Brazil, has helped elevate countless

Brazilians get out of poverty by providing low-income households with targeted,

conditional cash transfers. With their population spiking up to 200 million, this

turned out to be a good opportunity for things such as infrastructure developments,

massive improvements in public services and more. They did not happen to slow

down. As COVID-19 struck Brazil, they were forced to reduce their dependency to

commodities in order not to worsen their GDP rate.

In my opinion, I can connect this case of Brazil to Group 1’s report because if we

took a focus on Brazil’s economic development, we could see a massive

improvement in their economy and astonishing ways that they have done to conquer

lapses that might affect their economy or economic development. This can be a great

inspiration to the whole global perspective in case other countries face those kinds

of challenges that Brazil faced.
