CLIMBING LADDER 4.1) Provisions shall be made and all material pervaded for the instalistion of an internal climbing ladder from the base to the tower top. The rung width shal! be at least 40.0 cm with the step diameter being a minimum of 1.6 cm; the maximum adjecent rung spec ng shall be 42.0 om. GROUNDING AND LIGHTNING PROTECTION 9:1). Tower shall have a complete grounding system which conforms to tie minimum requirements of EIA RS-222-G, "Protective Grounding 9.2) ‘The grounding system of tower shall achieve a resistance to Earth ess than 3 ohm, 9.3) The grounding system of tower will be interconnected with shelter grounding system to provide ‘@ common ground potential to the communications site. This shall include lightning protection, electric service and antenna system ground 9.4) The grounding system may consist of, bul is not limited to, the following components 9.4.1 Tower ground ring, 9.4.2 Ground radials. 9.4.3 Grounding electrodes. 9.4.4 Tower ground bus bar. 9.4.5 External ground bus ber. 15) Tower ground ring shall be buried and encircles the tower slructure and provide @ means of bonding ground rods together and bonding other grounding electrode system components together 9.6) The tower ground bus bar shall be an integral part of the tower construction or vertical waveguide ladder it should be large enough to accommodate all ccexial cebi= connections and connection to the grounding electtode system. EXCAVATION 40.1) All excavation works shall conform to relevant Jordanian codes 410.2) The contractor shall assure that each foundation excavetion is accurately located, sized and plumbed as specified on the drawings 10.3) All topsoil shall be separately removed and stozkpiled for later use in the final Back-filing process. Exposed portions of anchor bolts shall be coated witn tape o° heavy grease prior to pouring concrete, The contractor shall supply All bar supporis, ties, spacare and other materials required 10 keep the reinforcing in its proper postion 11.11) Heating of bar in order to bend it and welding of reber will not be patmitted. 14.12) The portion of concrete surfaces exposed abov fiir faced concrete 12 BACKFILL 12.1) All backfil works shall conform to relevant Jordenien specications 42.2) Material for backfil shall be furnished by the Conlractor from the excavated site material to the extent available. Addtional backfil similar to the site material, shall be furnished by the Contractor where required. If excavated material is no: guitable as teckfil, Contractor will replace it with acceptable material. 12.3) Fill materials shall be placed in horizonta layers of 26 om lifts and each layer compacted with vibrating compactors such as tampers .fammers, or vibra plates to 25% modified proctor density 124) The finished grade at backiilled and cther disturted areas sta! conform to the lines and grades of the site. Areas around buildings and tower shall be greded so as to cause surface water to flow away from them 413 TOWER ERECTION 13.1) The contractor shall fumish all necessary personnel, supervision tools, equipment and transportation required to complete the installation and erection cf ail items specified herein 13.2) Any tower elements which sustain damace stiallbe reported to. PSD 13.3) Correction of damage shall not be done ty cent-actor without the aspravel of PSD. 13.4) The actual location of the tower anc other siructures wil be determined by PSD, Tower orientation shall be agreed upon later on between PSD and the contracter 13.5) The structural members shall be accurately set to lines and elevations indicated on the erection drawings, also the various rnembers forming the ‘cwar bay shall be aligned and adjusted before permanently fastening 13.6) The contractor shall maintain a check of tower plumpness during al phases of the erection work. Plumpness shall be measured by means of a transit placed so that the sight e'evation angles are less than 45 degrees. At least two sights shall be made for each check, criented at right angles to each other and taken within the shortest practical time interval. At all times the tower shall be plumb within the tolerance specified in draviings. After completion cf tower construction, with all joints tight, and all eppurtenences installed the certractor shall make a final check of tower Plumpness in the manner prescribed above 13.7), Field modifications including welding cr burning of holes in memiters are not acceptable 13.8) Contractor shall provide @ dedicated, fuliime field supervisor. This contractor-employee will be assigned and available through all phases of construction Responsibilties will include, but not be limited to: verification of tower ard enchor locations; finished grade and construction of foundations; delivery and erection of tower; off-Load location and joint inspection of construction 14. CLIMBING TOOLS Contractor is required to provide as an ontian a recomended list of climbing tools e.g. full body harness, safety blocks, rescue and retrieval system, shock absorbs 45 INSTRUCTIONS FOR CONTRACTOR 15.1), Shall provide complete erected functioning (60) meter tow fequirements listed in this document rand according to specifications and 1.2), Shall provide complete tower with all needed ac ding to specifications and equirements listed in this document 15.3) Tower and foundation designs should consider seismic requirement. 15.4) Contractor shall list all specific exceptions ic the specication and eutmit these exceptions with the bid 15.5} Provide a complete and orderly summary of the tower siress analysis Showing loading considerations, tower base reactions, member sizes ,Alicwatle stresses and maximum computed forces in members is required for the tower. The analysis 's to be certfizg by 2 registered professional engineer with experience in tower design. 15.6) Before submitting drawings or other data :o PSD it shall bs the sole responsiblity of the Contractor to ‘comprehensively and thoroughly check semis for accuracy and {ull compliance with plans and specifications and proper form, fit and function! 18.7) Where a specific material, process, or product is specified, and the contractor desires to provide an improvement or equal, he shall submit e statement to this effect ic PSD. PSD reserves the right to accept or deny, 15.8) Shall properly mark and match-marked materials for field assembly Fabricate for a delivery ‘sequence which will expedite erection and minimize field handing of material. 15.9) Provide lists showing quantities and weigt of stee! for the tower. 18.10) Tower analysis and the values of torque list shall be sukrnitted wits technical offer, the submission is @ vital issue to this tender. 15.11) Provide a list of Torque value for the usec! bots, 16. Bidder shall provide compliance list forall technical specs and administrative condtions with references for each one; otherwise the offers will be discarded. 19.
