Summer Holidays Board Game

A game for 2 – 6 players.

The aim of this game is to get all of the ‘How to Have a Great Summer Cards’ and be the first player to
reach the ‘Back to School Square’.

You Will Need:

• Summer Holidays Board Game Playing Board I have uploaded this to the RCP
• Summer Holidays Board Game Counters I have uploaded these to the RCP
• Summer Holidays Board Game Player Board I have uploaded this to the RCP
• How to Have a Great Summer Cards I have uploaded these to the RCP
• Dice- If you don’t have dice, ask an adult if they could download a dice app on a tablet that you could
use. Or you could cut up six pieces of paper and write numbers 1 to 6 on them. Then, instead of
rolling the dice, close your eyes and pick one of the pieces of paper each time.

Instructions:
• Each player needs a Counter and a Player Board.
• Decide who will go first. It could be the youngest player, or you could all roll the dice and the person
with the highest score goes first.
• Roll the dice and move your counter along the board that number of squares.
• The board is divided into sections, one for each week of the summer holidays. Each week has ‘How to
Have a Great Summer Cards’ squares. To get one of these cards, you need to land on the square and
do the task on the card. If you do the task, you put the card on your player board. If you reach the
end of the week and haven’t got a card, you have to return to the start of that week and try again. If
you have got that week’s card, you continue to the next section of the board.
• Once you’ve got all six ‘How to Have a Great Summer Cards’, head for the ‘Back to School Square’.
The first person there wins.
