How does human activity affect the loss of

biodiversity?
Introduction
The biodiversity of the planet is altered by humans in a variety of ways, both consciously
and unconsciously. Human activity in relationship to the ecosystem has increased more
with the last years. It is the main factor which caused ecosystem loss to spread
worldwide. This is a big problem right now, because to provide free land by damaging the
ecosystem it is considered to be difficult by knowing the huge amount of plantation
which will be needed to be destroyed each time. The way that humans have changed
natural habitats to make room for farms or to collect natural resources has been the
greatest harm to biodiversity to yet, but as climate change intensifies because of
deforestation, it will have a significant impact on ecosystems.

Issue one

Global perspective
The cause for the consistent increase of the number of wooden land destroyed
each year is because of animal agriculture, forest fire, illegal logging, urbanization
and paper production. Ecosystems that are essential to both wildlife and humans
are destroyed by deforestation. In other words, forests support life far beyond
where their tree lines begin. Each year, we remove more than 15 billion trees.
According to estimates from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United
Nations, since 1990, people have used 420 million hectares of wooded land for
other purposes. But if people keep destroying trees at the same rate, they might
become unsustainable. The effects of this cause severe problems in habitat loss
(wildlife extension) and in the creation of acidic ocean. According to the FAO,
forests provide habitat for 68% of the world's animal species, 75% of its bird
species, and 80% of its amphibian species. Deforestation destroys habitats, which
results in the extinction of 50,000 species per year going extinct.

National perspective
In the last 21 years (2000-2021) in Albanian by the study of Global Forest Watch
is shown that the number of tree cover has fallen down by 6.5% about 41.8kha
because of deforestation which had happened because of the illegal logging and
forest fire. Those factors are the major problems which effect ecosystem in
Albania. During the 2000 – 2021 in Albania the rate of deforestation has not been
always the same. There have been times when the amount of tree cover had
arrived about 5.47kha and times when it was nearly 284ha. Albania in general has
been always been considered an ecosystem protector country because of the small
amount of deforestation that has happened. The main consequence of
deforestation in Albania is the destroying of the green places which can be tourist
places and have an effect in the economy because of fewer tourists coming for
visiting those places.
