FOOD DIET:
Diet food (or dietetic food) refers to any food or beverage whose recipe is altered to reduce fat,
carbohydrates, and/or sugar in order to make it part of a weight loss program or diet. Such foods
are usually intended to assist in weight loss or a change in body type, although bodybuilding
supplements are designed to increase weight.
DASH Eating Plan:
The DASH eating plan requires no special
foods and instead provides daily and
weekly nutritional goals.

This plan recommends:

Eating vegetables, fruits, and whole grains

Including fat-free or low-fat dairy products,


fish, poultry, beans, nuts, and vegetable oils

Limiting foods that are high in saturated fat,


such as fatty meats, full-fat dairy products, and
tropical oils such as coconut, palm kernel, and
palm oils

Limiting sugar-sweetened beverages and


sweets
Why Diet is Important?

A healthy diet is essential for good health and


nutrition. It protects you against many chronic no
communicable diseases, such as heart disease,
diabetes and cancer.
Eating a variety of foods and consuming less salt,
sugars and saturated and industrially-produced
trans-fats, are essential for healthy diet.
