2. What choices did you reflect on when writing? What audience were you writing for?
What was the exigence, audience, and constraints you faced while creating this
assignment (see Bitzer’s definition in Caroll’s reading for details)? Make sure to add the

1. The artifact I chose for this outcome reflection was Reading Response 6. The way I
would describe the genre of this artifact is a mix of personal narrative because it
combines elements of personal experience, observations, and insights about rhetoric and
communication. In Reading Response, I talk about the different kinds of rhetoric I see
and hear, and some kinds of rhetoric I create and what kind of message I'm trying to
convey.

2. When writing this response, I had to think about the kinds of rhetoric I come across every
day and decide which ones to choose from. I also had to think of rhetoric I create and the
message that I'm trying to get across. The exigence could be the need or motive to
express your thoughts on rhetoric and communication. The audience could be anyone
who reads or interacts with your text in this case the audience is the professor and my
peers.
