Answer the following questions:

1. If the roots of the equation 3x²-kx+3=0 are equal, find the value of k.
2. If (8k+4), (6k-2), (2k-7) are three consecutive terms of an AP , then find k.
3. Draw a circle and two lines parallel to a given line such that one is a tangent and the other a
secant to the circle.
4. Find the perimeter of a half circle of radius r.

5. Prove that: 6(tanx +2)(2tanx+1) = 5tanx + sec²x
6. The area of a circular playground is 22176 m². Find the cost of fencing this ground at the rate
of ₹50 per metre.
7. Two cones with same base radius 8cm and height 15cm are joined together along their
bases. Find the surface area of the shape so formed.
8. In a family having three children, there may be no girl, one girl, two girls or three girls . So,
the probability of each is ¼ . Is this correct? Justify your answer.
9. Two dice are thrown at the same time. Determine the probability that the difference of
numbers on the two dice is 2.

10. The sum of the first n-terms of an AP whose first term is 8 and the common difference is 20
is equal to the sum of first 2n-terms of another AP whose first term is -30 and the common
difference is 8. Find n.
11. Find the unknown entries a, b, c, d, e and f in the following distribution of height of students
in a class.
