The three vengeful spirits are actually:

Sugawara no Michizane- was jailed and died of hunger for falsely being accused of setting a
coup. (Ancestor to both Satoru Gojo and Yuta Okkotsu).
Taira no Masakado- his head was paraded around for months by his enemies after being killed.
(Zenin Clan).
Emperor Sutoku- was exiled and sent away from the royal family. (Fujiwara and Kamo).
