The new Fundamental Critical Care Support Fourth Edition textbook has been revised to reflect the most current guidelines and practices. New highlights include three added appendices and a user-friendly format.

The Society of Critical Care Medicine has developed a Standardized Course and Text in the Basic Principles of Critical Care. FCCS was prepared under the auspices of the Society of Critical Care Medicine by leading multidisciplinary critical care educators in anesthesiology, emergency medicine, internal medicine, nursing, pediatrics and surgery. The content was developed with input from international critical care experts and liaisons from the American Academy of Family Practitioners and the American College of Emergency Physicians.
