Telegraph Dearborn, Michigan 48128 Dear Mr, Roveekt Re: Curey-Helmick #1, Permit 24574 Since our last discussion about this well, I've checked 4¢ out and still can't tell much more about the volum’ and pressure than T could before. ven though this hae beea evedged and shut-in for sone tiwe, the hole stands full of fluid and you can hear gas rolling through it to the top. Even though this doesn't seen to be a rip roaring amount of ge coming through fo the surface, it still 1s something that hes to be taken care of. As the source of the gas {s unknown, I still believe the only satisfactory way of replugging this hole is pretty mich the same as outlined in our letter of September 21. Should the ges be coming from the Traverse, the Niagaran or by some quirk be migrating from the bottom in some manner, it has to be coming through the plugging material and the cenent plugs in the hole, To attempt any plugging short of whst T previously suggested might prevent the gas from migrating to the surface but 4€ dt didn't {t could very well be tine and money spent for nothing. Beside preventing aigration of the gas to the surface, we also vact to feol asured it can't migrate from one formation into another. Your best insurance against this happening {6 to replug the hole the way it should be replugged. We don't know vhether you still tatend to have Mr. Myler or someone else take care of this for you, but, whoever it is, would you ak them to notify this office when the work 1s to be done.
