Nguyen Phuc Bao Tam's report describes tooth extraction techniques in 5 steps: local anesthesia of the target tooth using lidocaine injection or nerve block; separating the tooth's ligament from the bone using an elevator; luxating or loosening the tooth using rotation or pressure with an elevator before removing it with forceps; curettage and cleaning of the socket; and placement of a cotton pack with instructions to bite on it for hemostasis and pain relief if needed.

- Local anesthesia: injection of lidocaine 2% with 1:100000 epinephrine to alveolar
mucosa or using block techniques to achieve anesthesia of target tooth - Separating the ligament: using elevator, separate the ligament arround the tooth, and also to test the effect of anesthesia. - Luxation of tooth: using elevator, try to rotate, or push the teeth to the side, extending the ligament and alveolar socket. Then, use the forceps to grasp the tooth and dislocate bucco-lingually before grasping it out - Curettage and cleaning: smoothen the bone, clean the tissues in socket - Hemostasis: put a cotton in and tell patient to keep it for 1 hour. Presribe analgesics if necessary
