Christmas around the world

According to the culture of Christian we

celebrate the birth of Jesus at Christmas time.
The period of Christmas celebrating starts by the
first day of Advent and it lasts for 6 of January.
th

The Advent starts on preceding the day of

Christmas (25 Dec.) 4 Sunday and it symbolizes
th

the waiting of God's coming. In numerous

countries, they keep Christmas Eve on the 24 of
th

December. At this time, we strive to spend the

celebration together with our family and loved ones. Worldwide, there are plenty of
cities and towns which are decorated by various lights and those get dressed in a
festive mood.
A lot of Christmas fair can be seen in certain places and where we can buy all
kinds of junks, presents and also mulled wine, of course. Already in early December,
many people are diligently looking for the perfect pine tree, going to many places to
see what the offers are, since the shape and the
color of the Christmas tree gives the mood in the
room. Based on our habit, my family and I
decorate the pine tree on 24 of December hearing
th

a bit of music in the background to have

attunement. In many families, the celebration
happens together with the extended family on
Christmas Eve for example with the grandparents,
cousins, aunts, uncles and maybe godparents, as
well.
For me Christmas is perfect when the snow is falling, we can build a snowman
drinking a hot choc and last but not least we can watch the Home alone
(Reszkessetek betörők) movie as usual.
