In the CareerNOW Programme, we've learned that there are a number of disruptors facing
our industry and our roles. We need to Be Adaptable to these changes if we are going to
thrive. Leveraging the knowledge and talents of those around us can help us perform better.
But to get the most from our Career Community network, we need to have the courage to
reach out and seek support when needed.
Let's look at three tips for to bravely seeking support whenever you're faced with big changes,
challenges, or problems:

be successful and reach our potential working ina
vacuum. We need to leverage the talents of others
if we're going to deliver our very best work.

help me facilitate this change?” Then, be
vulnerable and bold by reaching out to them. The
most successful organisations are the ones that
foster and encourage cross-functional
collaboration, and it’s a key behaviour we need to
develop to thrive through change.

Bl burdened or overwhelmed by a change or
disruption, make sure you have a person in
your Career Community — it can be a friend, a
colleague, an ecclesiastical leader, or a family
member — whom you can go to for advice or support.
Sometimes the best way to alleviate anxiety is to talk it over
with someone you can confide in. A big part of Being
Adaptable is being emotionally resilient!
