1. Do you have any information about REES, PBMA? What are those? (positive or
negative)

• Ruben E. Ecleo Sr. was the seventh son of Tatay Jose and Nanay Justiniana a resident from
Cab-Ilan. He was born on December 9, 1934 in Cab-Ilan island. He was baptized to the
Philippine Independent Church at age 1 in the neighboring town of Surigao. His family moved to
the western portion of Dinagat Islands on 1941 in Sitio Puyange which is now part of San Jose
Municipality. He was married to Glenda Boray, and together they had 8 children's but his first
son died.

• He was recognized because of his miracle healing, and spiritual activities, and Latin prayers.

• On October 19, 1965, he founded the PBMA with millions of members from different places.
They had one goal, that is to unite the people in this Island.

• According to the elders, if you are a member of PBMA you will gain an immortal life. They
also said that Jesus is in Divine Master Ruben E. Ecleo Sr. In addition, the Shrine which is the
graveyard of Divine, one is not allowed to spit or pee because it is believed that something bad
will happen to your body.

2. How did you learn information about it?

 The information gathered was learned from the elders who are members of the
association. through his book entitled "The Miracle of the Self".

3.How did you react and what comes to your mind about it, why?

 I was amazed by how influential and intriguing he was during that time that many people
was convinced to joined the said association. On the contrary, I was hesitant to believe if
he really possesses divine powers that enables healing. But nevertheless, all of us has
different beliefs and traditions that we follow. It is just a matter of respecting one's self
without judging others.
