WHY RICH COAST DIVING

Thank you for contacting Rich Coast Diving! We are delighted that you are
considering your professional dive training with us and are interested in the
Divemaster program. Becoming a Divemaster in Costa Rica is an amazing adventure
and the start of new exciting career.

Here at Rich Coast Diving, we are proud of our PADI Divemaster Training Program. As
the oldest PADI 5* CDC facility in Costa Rica, we can assure you that the internship is
of the highest quality. The education you receive with our PADI Course Directors and
IDC Staff Instructors will make you a skilled and knowledgeable divemaster, ready to
enter the PADI Pro world.

Our philosophy is to pay attention to details and follow PADI standards. That is why
you are trained by the best and most experienced PADI professionals in Playa del
Coco. During your internship you will work with our dive crew and instructors on board
the daily dive trips and you will assist our instructors when they teach their courses.
This way you will gain real hands-on experience which is very valuable as you start your

 DIVEMASTER PROGRAM
Rich Coast Diving will help you begin your dream career as a PADI Professional. Our
PADI Dive Master Program has been the starting point for hundreds of people from
around the world.

You can start the program any given day and there are 3 different options suitable
for your time and budget. Note that with all our prices the 13% tax is already
inlcuded ! The prerequisite for the programs offered below is Rescue Diver. Not a
Rescue Diver yet ? We´ll train you up to the required level. Contact us directly for
prices.

The 3-month Ultimate program Includes 5 PADI Specialty Certifications which will
give you automatically the rating of PADI Master Scuba Diver.

RICH COAST DIVING - COSTA RICA

 ECO DIVEMASTER PROGRAM
Costa Rica is considered one of the best places to participate in a marine
conservation program. Join us and contribute to critical ocean research and
conservation projects!

In our marine citizen science program, you will learn how to identify and recognize
marine fish species, how to conduct fish surveys and submit data to an international
data base used by scientist all over the world, you will learn how to become an eco-
diver and reduce your environmental impact while diving.

By joining our Marine conservation projects you will receive several internationally
recognized certifications (REEF surveyor, PADI and Green Fins). The goal of these
programs is train you to collect scientific valid data that is used by scientist around
the world to strengthen conservation efforts and protect the ocean.

This Program is offered as add-on to our Divemaster Programs. For the Pro and
Premium programs, you will need 2 weeks extra, while we can include it in the 12
weeks of the Ultimate Program.

 TIMING & HOW TO GET HERE

You can start your Divemaster Program any given day.

Rich Coast Diving is located in the small coastal village of Playas del Coco. You can fly to the
capital of Costa Rica named San Jose (SJO Int'l Airport) and take a shuttle bus to Playas del
Coco (5 hours). We can recommend the Interbus shuttle company for bookings go
to www.interbusonline.com.

Or you can fly to Liberia (Daniel Oduber Int'l Airport) which is 40 min from Playas del Coco
and from this airport we can arrange your pickup ($50 USD one way).

DIVING CONDITIONS

Our location offers excellent year-round diving opportunities. Visibility changes from
day to day so there is no better or worse season for visibility. Water temperature
ranges from 23 – 28 Celsius throughout the year so a 3 - 5mm wetsuit is sufficient to
keep you comfortably warm under water. Most dive sites are only 10 minutes away
and accessible all year.

RICH COAST DIVING - COSTA RICA

In Costa Rica the seasons are divided between the rainy season (which runs from May
to October) and the dry season (which runs November to April). But these seasons do
not affect our diving conditions so any time of the year is great to do your PRO course.

PREREQUISITES

To enroll our PADI Divemaster Program candidates must:

• Be over 18 years old.

• Be medically evaluated and cleared for diving by a physician within 12 months.
You can obtain a medical clearance from the medical center here in Playas del
Coco or bring it from your home country.

Let us know your certification level and we will train you up to the required level to
start the PADI Divemaster Course. Not a diver yet ? No problem we train you from
zero to hero!

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

RICH COAST DIVING - COSTA RICA

During your Divemaster program, you will not only complete your training dives but
you will also dive, a lot ! The Divemaster program is 6 working days a week and your
days consist of working according to the daily operation schedule (tank, equipment
handling, boat preparation, customer care, etc.), training dives (pool or ocean), dive
shop duties, workshops and lots of diving. Our days start from 6:45 am to 2:30 pm,
and sometimes you will be on afternoon shift till 5 pm.

When you arrive, you will meet your IDC Staff Instructor, who will guide you through
your training. They will help you to fine-tune your dive skills, gain dive knowledge,
management, and supervision abilities. This will help you become a role model to
divers everywhere.

Once you sign up you, have automatically received “DIVE FOR LIFE” this means you
get to dive with Rich Coast Diving if space is available for the rest of your life!

ACCOMODATION & COST OF LIVING

We have several housing options. You can stay at our “intern apartments” and share
your experiences with the other interns, or you can book your own private
accommodation.

At the “intern apartment” the bed in a shared apartment room is $350 / month (incl.
water and internet) excluding monthly electricity which are shared amongst
roommates. The apartment is a nice condo, with a small pool and outside area. The
apartment is a 2 bed / 2 bath with shared kitchen and living room.
If you wish to have your private room with en-suite bathroom, the price is $550 /room
for a single and $ 700 for a couple.

Of course, you can also find your own accommodation on Airbnb or on Facebook
groups like Coco Chitchat or Coco rentals.

The cost for Groceries is pretty much the same US / Europe. Going out for dinner
varies from $5 to $20 a meal.

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT & MATERIALS

EQUIPMENT
We recommend that you bring your own equipment. But if you do not own your own
set of equipment yet, we offer equipment rental at $100 USD per month. Equipment
included: BCD, regulator, long/short wetsuit 3 or 5 mm.

As a future PADI professional the following items are mandatory and you cannot start
you course without them! We do sell all items with a 20% discount (cash payment only)
for our PRO participants, if you cannot bring them from your home country: own mask,
fins and snorkel, dive computer, DSMB, compass, knife / divers’ tool, sound device
(whistle). Contact us for prices.

PADI MATERIALS

Once you sign up and according to your current level, we will provide the PADI
materials required for your training. Including PADI Divemaster Crew Pack and
eLearning.

Becoming a PADI Pro is not cheap but definitely worth it and we want to make sure
that you can plan your budget accordingly by understanding all the costs and fees.
You can also find a full overview of the prices and fees on our website. Do not hesitate
to contact us for any questions or concerns you have regarding the costs of the PRO
Courses and additional PADI fees.

First there are the cost of the training provided by Rich Coast Diving. And then there
are additional "PADI fees" which you will pay directly to PADI by credit card at the
end of the training. As a PADI professional you will have to pay PADI initially, in order
to apply and become a professional member, then pay an annual membership fee.

DM COURSE PRICES for Certified Rescue Divers

1 Month – PRO Program $1699
2 Months – Premium Program $1485
3 Months – Ultimate Program $1145
All prices in USD incl. taxes.

Not a Rescue Diver yet? We give you discount on additional training to meet the
prerequisites to start the DM Program of your choice. Contact us for details.

TAKE THE NEXT STEP

The best thing about diving is that you will never stop learning. For certified PADI
Divemasters the next step is completing your PADI Instructor Development Course
(IDC).

This is a 2-week program where you learn all aspects of teaching Scuba diving to both
new and experienced divers. Through hands-on interactive workshops, you learn how
to give classroom presentations, how to teach in confined water as well as in open

RICH COAST DIVING - COSTA RICA

 PAYMENT & CANCELLATION POLICY

To guarantee your reservation we must receive 50% of the total amount at least 30
days before your arrival and 100% of the first month for any accommodation you book
with us. The total amount is due upon arrival and can be paid via Paypal, Revolut or
bank transfer. Please note that bank and transfer fees are to be paid by the customer.

You may cancel your reservation by written confirmation

to info@richcoastdiving.com up to 14 days before the start of your course and you will
receive a full refund. But in case of cancellation with notification within 14 days prior
to arrival, your deposit will not be fully refunded (from your deposit we keep 50% on
booked courses and 100% on accommodation). Of course, we do understand that
unexpected circumstances may happen and we can reschedule your course for free
up to 1 year after the starting date. But note that, payments made for accommodation
reservations will not be refunded.

Dive insurance is mandatory when you do your professional dive training with us. We
