Police Brutality

Police brutality refers to the various human rights violations committed by police. This ranges from
beatings, torture, unlawful killings, and other terrible things.

Excessive and unnecessary use of police force results in brutality. Hurting the citizens whether they
may have done something right or wrong.

Police brutality is an important issue regardless of reason. With the most prominent reason being that
the power-tripping would further endorse others to be corrupt. In addition, the people would no longer
feel safe around police which contradicts their purpose. Furthermore, if this issue persists, then it will
only become worse by the day.

Correlation
The police shot and killed at least 1,055 black people all across the United States (Bunn, C. 2022).

Police brutality among the black community has been an issue for a long time. In the US, the black
people are racially discriminated against and racially profiled to be criminals. Thus leading to
unrightful arrests or abuse by the police, and creating racial bias.

It is rightfully unfair for the black community to receive such discrimination just because of their skin
color. Miscommunication is the main reason for this, the fear of other people of the black community
leads to suspicion and negative feedback.

This issue must be addressed, nobody deserves to be beaten up or killed because of their race. The
issue will only become worse and worse as long as it is neglected. Families pertaining to the black
community fear for their lives even if they did nothing wrong. This is not right and it needs to be
fixed.
