Reflective Essay.
a. Reflective Essay – 1 topic that’s interests you from the presentation
b. Implication to you as a student of Social Studies and future Social Studies

From the presenters last Wednesday, there was an article that captivated my interest
and attention, and I suppose it is vital to explore and study within this field. The article of
Warfare by Pulong of Glenn Anthony May. The main focus is the geographical aspect of
Katipunan, the relevance of Pulong during the Philippine Revolution, and the leadership led
by some notable people in the Katipunan, which, from my perspective, highlights the article
itself. These main focal points can help in visualizing and analyzing one of the significant
events in Philippine History, how this article was constructed, and produce contributions to
how we view Philippine society.
On a related note, the article itself contributes to me as a social studies student and the
field of social studies in terms of viewing and analyzing the events in our history. This may
be one of the events held in a short period of time, but it impacted how we view our society
today. As a student studying social studies, this article helps me in how I critically analyze
some events such as this where there is involvement of studies and theories, and its main
points describing what is Pulong and the Katipunan which basically the starting point of the
ignited fire within the Filipinos from the colonizing superiority. Also, in the field of social
studies and for those who pursue it, this article can aid students in studying and analyzing
some of the notable events in Philippine history, their relevance, their impact on our
Philippine society, and the details that contributed to what we knew in this modern world. In
conclusion, the articles discussed last Wednesday were not to present some histories and
studies but to unpack, impart, and communicate the identity and reality of what we are today,
the Philippines.
