Death is not in anyone's hands.

The death penalty, also known as capital punishment,

is a type of punishment that involves putting a person to death for committing a crime.
The death penalty is the ultimate punishment. The death penalty is an inhumane and
cruel act that brings injustice to the states that still use this method of punishment.
Some of the methods involved during execution include lethal injection, electric
shock, gas chamber, firing squad, and even hanging. Capital punishment was once
legal in the Philippines when the previous president was Ferdinand Marcos in 1926,
but was disapproved by many and banned in 2006 here in the Philippines.

People who agree on the death penalty would say that the death penalty should be
legalized so that criminals would get what they deserve and that no criminals would
ever cross the road, but they are only looking at one side of the argument. Imagine
you are accused of murder, but you are poor, so you know you only have a little
chance of winning without a good lawyer. There is very little evidence to support the
claim that you are innocent but still get put to death by the electric shock. Later on,
after further research and investigation, people found out that you were actually
innocent, but it's too late. You were killed for someone else's murder. Some people
don't have to imagine what they experience, such as Cameron Todd Willingham, who
was accused of killing two people and was put to death. Later on, through an
investigation, Willingham was found innocent. The death penalty also made false
accusations and killed innocent people. Although some say that the death penalty
brings justice to society and helps save the world from the people who damage it,
using the same or worse methods does not make us better than them. The death
penalty must be abolished.
