HIGH COURT OF HIMACHAL PRADESH (ORIGINAL SIDE) (12TH

AMENDMENT 2020) RULES, 1997
PREAMBLE
In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 23 of the State of Himachal Pradesh Act, 1970 read with
Section 129 of the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908, Article 225 of the Constitution of India and all other
powers enabling in this behalf High Court of Himachal Pradesh is pleased to make following amendments
in High Court of Himachal Pradesh (Original Side) Rules, 1997, as under:--

Rule - 1. Short Title.--

These Rules shall be called the High Court of Himachal Pradesh (Original Side) (12th Amendment 2020)
Rules, 1997.

Rule - 2. Commencement.--
These Rules shall come into force with immediate effect.

Rule - 3. Amendment(S).--
(A) In Chapter-III (FORM OF PLEADINGS), Clause (c) of Rule 1. (PLEADINGS HOW WRITTEN), after the words
"Parentage" and before comma(,) the words "including age of first party" shall be inserted. Consequently
the amended provision shall read as follows:--

"(c) Names etc. of Parties.--

Full name and parentage including age of first party, description of each party and address and if such is
the case the fact that a party sues or is sued in a representative character, shall also be set out at the
beginning of the plaint, petition or application and need not be repeated in the subsequent proceedings in
the same suit or matter."
