Organization Description
Heidkamp Investment Enterprises is a venture-capital based private equity firm, focused on
investing in startup companies. Our company consists of many driven, intelligent individuals
who have a passion for investing in companies with a high growth potential. We are looking to
expand our VC team with a motivated individual, preferably with prior knowledge of VC or
private equity in general.

Job Summary
The role of a Private Equity Associate is investment focused. You will work with a team of your
fellow associates to seek out clients in fundraising efforts. These fundraising efforts are for
venture capital opportunities, high growth potential startups that need investors. You will be on
both the financial and communication side of things, as financial analysis of each deal is
expected.

Essential Duties
Job responsibilities include:
- As an associate, you will be a key player in all aspects of the investment process.
- Sufficiently execute venture capital/private equity trades across multiple industries.
- Monitor the company’s current portfolio of investments, as well as clients.
- Facilitate fundraising presentations, creating opportunities for investments to grow.
- Complete financial analysis of all investments, valuations, and returns.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate has background in private equity, venture capital, investment banking or a
similar field. They have experience working in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment and work
well under pressure. The candidate must have great motivational and problem solving skills to be
able to think quick on their feet. They must be a personable indivudal with proficient
communication and financial analysis skills.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum BS Degree or Equivalent in Finance, Data Science, Management, or other
related major.
- College GPA above 3.6 on a 4.0 scale
- Minimum 1-year experience in venture capital or related field
- Clear, concise, and personable communication skills
- Strong financial analytical skills
- Presentation skills, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office platforms (PowerPoint)
- Must live in or be willing to relocate to the Chicagoland area
- Must be authorized to work in the US
Preferred Qualification
- 2 years post-college investment field experience
- Masters in Business preferred, however not required
- CFA certification greatly encouraged
- Ties to the Chicagoland area
