Role of Punctuations within the Text of HS

1. Comma (,)
- Separate items of a list or set off description
2. Semi-colon (;)
indicate a full stop; separate items within the descriptive text into
independent units
3. Colon (:)
Indicate that a list is to follow and that further subdivisions will occur
4. Period (.)
- Indicate the end of the text.

1. Commas (,)
a. Separate items of a list
42.02 Trunks, suitcases, vanity-cases, executive-case, brief-case…..
(used to separate the text items described in the heading text)

b. Separate a set off descriptors


41.15 Composition leather with a basis of leather fibre, in slabs,
sheets or strip, whether or not in rolls;
