1 Introduction

This document briefly describes the major functional enhancements and modifications implemented in release
3.2 of the remote support platform for SAP Business One (RSP), which includes the following components:

● The remote support platform for SAP Business One


You can use the remote support platform to protect an SAP Business One installation by monitoring
customers’ environments and providing automated and remote support. By reducing the amount of time
required to identify and resolve potential issues, the remote support platform for SAP Business One
minimizes disruptions of business processes and databases.
As of version 3.2, the healing tasks are supported also for SAP Business One, version for SAP HANA
databases. Should healing tasks be necessary, they will be delivered.
● The remote support platform studio for SAP Business One
Partners can use the remote support platform studio to develop support tasks, deliver tasks to customers,
and manage tasks for different customer installations.
As of version 3.2, the remote support platform studio also enables partners to remotely manage SAP tasks
delivered to customers' RSPs.

Version 3.2 of the remote support platform is included in the SAP Business One 9.3 product DVD, or is
downloadable as a separate package.

 Note
Please enable the technical user at least 3 days before you plan to upgrade an ex­
isting RSP installation to RSP 3.2 or install RSP 3.2 for the first time.

Partner or customer S-Users can no longer be used for RSP customer installation.

Feature Description

System Landscape Directory Version 3.2 of the remote support platform enables SLD configuration.

When configuring SLD, you should first select the Synchronize Company Database

user name and password.

When the SLD connection is configured, company database landscape information is


loaded automatically from the SLD to the RSP.

This new ability reduces maintenance efforts, as landscape changes made in SLD on cus­
tomer sites are automatically replicated to RSP.

 Note
The SLD connection must be configured as a prerequisite for enabling HANA databases
backup via the RSP.

Feature Description

Schema Consistency Check RSP Task 2315090 performs SAP HANA schema consistency checks described in SAP Note
enforcement during Instance 2116157 .
Backup scheduling
You can choose to run the task on productive databases only.

You can choose to get email notification about status changes.

RSP Healing Tasks for SAP RSP 3.2 enables the execution of healing tasks for SAP HANA databases.

Schedule regular backups of RSP 3.2 enables scheduling regular full Instance backups of SAP HANA databases and dele­
SAP HANA database tes old backups automatically. For more information, see SAP Note 2121486 .

 Note
The SLD connection must be configured as a prerequisite for enabling backup of SAP
HANA databases via the RSP.

Manage SAP RSP tasks in In RSP Studio, partners can approve/decline SAP RSP tasks for example, patching down­
RSP Studio load tasks, and adjust their schedule for their customers (this feature was formerly possible
through the RSP Remote Console application).

1. Set the partner channel correctly and enable the Allow Remote Management option in

the RSP agent ( Configuration Channels Partner Channel and also in SAP
Channel).
2. Log on to the Remote Support Platform Studio for SAP Business One and select the
SAP Tasks tab.

Feature Description

Book a GoToAssist Service By using your partner S-user and password, you are be able to book a GoToAssist service in
for all your SAP Business a few minutes for all your customers. See SAP Note 2630322 .

for SAP Business One.

Submitting the Embedded New Embedded Incident Management feature delivered in SAP Business One 9.3 PL03 to
Incident Management Report instantly record a problem inside SAP Business One Client and submit the report via RSP.

Simplified Content Upload A simplified Content Upload Request is supported, which allows an easy database upload

done with GoToAssist. For example, there is no longer any need to email the Content Upload
