When was it?

It was last weekend when I was walking home from school at night.

What happened?

I was walking down a dark alleyway when I heard someone following me. I turned
around and saw a man walking behind me. He was wearing a hoodie and sunglasses,
so I couldn't see his face.

Where were you?

I was in a dark alleyway, and there was no one else around. I was scared, but I knew I
had to stay calm.

What did you do?

I started walking faster, and I turned a corner to get away from him. I ran as fast as I
could until I got to a well-lit area.

Who were you with?

I was alone.

Was it OK in the end?

Yes, I was okay in the end. The man didn't follow me after I turned the corner. I was still
scared, but I was relieved that I was safe.

Additional details

I was especially scared because I didn't know who the man was or what he wanted. I
also remember feeling very vulnerable. I was alone in a dark alleyway, and there was
no one around to help me.

But I'm also grateful for the experience. It taught me to be more aware of my
surroundings, and it showed me how important it is to be safe.

It was last summer vacation. I went to Africa with my friends and we were in a hotel in the rainforest.

Keep your distance from the snake.

Avoid processed foods, sugary drinks, and excessive caffeine and alcohol, as these can all
trigger headaches

Living off the grid is an answer to most people’s money problems. As you know, nowadays the costs of
things are so high, I don’t know ho to live if we are “off grid”. Can you tell me ways to reduce the living
costs and what changes will you make?

Write an email responding to Jane

You should write about 100 – 120 words.

Hi Jane,

I understand your concern about the cost of living off the grid. There are a few things you can do to
reduce your costs.

Reduce energy reliance with renewables and simple changes like unplugging appliances

Grow your own food. This is a great way to save money on groceries. There are many resources
available to help you get started.

Here are some specific changes I would make to reduce my living costs:

Install solar panels to generate my own electricity.

Build a greenhouse to grow my own food year-round.

Raise chickens for eggs and meat.

I believe that these changes would allow me to live comfortably off the grid without breaking the bank.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Best regards,

Dear Lisa,

Thank you for your email. I'm happy to help you with your upcoming presentation.

Here are three things that make me feel more confident when I have a presentation:

Being well-prepared helps me feel more confident and anticipate questions.

Strong visuals engage and enhance memorability.

Focusing on my audience reduces self-consciousness.

Here are three reasons why so many people are afraid of public speaking:

Fear of negative audience evaluation. People are often afraid of being judged or
criticized by others.

Fear of failure. People worry that they will forget their lines, or that they will say something wrong.

Fear of the unknown. People are often uncomfortable with public speaking because it is something that
they don't do very often.

Here are some tips for reducing anxiety before giving a presentation:

Take deep breaths to calm your nerves.

Visualize success to boost confidence and reduce anxiety.

Focus on the positive: audience learning and appreciation..

I hope these tips help you with your presentation. Good luck!
